Just wanted to start a thread where everyone wrote down how they got their current/previous jobs and/or interviews, what kind of interviews they asked etc, since there are a lot of threads about interview questions and how to get a job.
Here's some of my examples:
Name of place/Type of place...
And the point of this thread is....?
Don't really know how you needed to know 4 unit for accounting A and finance? I did general maths and managed just fine - the hardest math in accounting is basic addition.
And WTF "95% of business students do 3 unit". Most would have done general or 2 unit...
Depends on the subject/lecturer. Some post all of them before semester begins, some a few days before each lecture, some after the lecture.
It's only week 1 however. Just take down your own notes if the slides aren't available before or take a laptop to class.
really...i've worked at both fast food/hospitality and jb hi fi and i MUCH rather hospitality. retail customers are a lot worse than hospitality and it was just mentally draining having to serve the mean/time wasters/whingers. although the discounts were great and not having to leave work all...

666.10/38 hours = 17.52..
17.52 x 70% (18yr junior rate) = 12.27
12.27 + 25% (casual loading) = 15.33
pretty sure that was the award that i was under..oh well
Yes and no. When it's busier, you'll always be occupied and it makes your shift feel like its really quick. Having to stand around with nothing to do is really boring and makes time move 10 times slower.
But for some reason, customers are a lot worse when its busy especially when you have to...
Pay will pretty much be the same.
Go to both interviews and observe what the managers/co-workers are like and how busy the stores get and such.
There is nothing worse than having to work under a shit manager or with shit coworkers
I think its favourably looked upon but I'm not entirely sure. In recent years they would get HEAPS of applications because it's a good opportunity for students to get some quick cash over the holidays but now it's during classes so I don't know if the competition is going to be as fierce this year.
