Never had a tutor, ever. Got 96.90, you just need to be determined and study effectively. I suppose I could have got a higher UAI with tutoring but I only needed one around 95, so that's OK.

Nope, not directed at you. I personally thought that this was a free 4 marks, but then again people are good at different things. I think I stuffed the calculations for the calcium carbonate thing and some people may have found that a very basic question. No offence intended.

I wish I was one of those people. I think I could do that for physics though, it just seems to be much easier to blitz. I'll have to do some quick revision though, so time to stop bludging! Cya around.

Remember, not many people will get 7/7 for their long answers, you may only get 6 out of 7 due to the whole band thing. 1 or 2 marks here and there all add up. So I reckon around half of the people who have put 90% raw will only get about 85%. It's true, the chemistry paper is very harshly...

For Q14. It is definitely B. C is suggesting that the bacteria will 'eat' the antibiotics and thus cause harm to us as there will be no antibiotics left to kill Golden Staph. But Golden Staph is resistant to the antibiotics anyway... B is correct as the bacteria can swap genetic information...

I will be happy with a raw mark above 65, but I probably got somewhere between 58-65/84. I thought it was OK, I didn't manage my time well enough though, and only got a few marks in Q7.

Didn't think it was too bad. Question 9 and 10 were hard, as expected, but if you gave yourself enough time to do them you may have been able to get a few marks here and there at least. I went pretty well, borderline Band 5/6. Hoping to get around 95-100/120. Did first 3 questions in about half...

If it's one of those questions where you just go...shit. Don't give up, confidence is the key. Quickly run through every topic you've learnt and ask yourself what they want you to use, what the markers are testing you on. In our trial, we had a circle question in Q10, my immediate reaction was...

Yeah printed as both 'Northern Lights' and 'Golden Compass'. It definitely was interesting, i liked the links to religion in the 2nd half but the 'war scene' wasn't nearly as good as it should have been. Yeah, the ending does try to get an emotional response from the reader, but i wont say...
