    good luck then! O-O ehehehe...PD - 53% (lol, epically failed :D), geography - 80% (better than expected) and maths - 91% (did ok but could of done much better >.>). that's all i got back so far

    Well i'm just gonna do one Maths past paper and see how I go..
    From there.. any mistake I made with a question I have forgotten or unfamiliar with, I'll just fix them up and do some light revision on those... Anyway it's all good.
    But I'm going to study hard for history/geography and a bit in science. For English I'll just read over test types and language techniques :p

    yehh...english ext will be a waste of time since i'm not planning to take it in yr 12 so i decided to do photography instead =P a total bludge :D

    LOL I'm not doing my 3 unit HSC maths exam in Year 11. I'm doing the 2 unit HSC Maths in year 11.... sigh...
    Um moderation and alignment is when the scaling of the course gets in the picture. Since all schools have different difficulty in their assessment tasks, they have to be moderated and aligned so that the final marks are equal... say you get rank 8th at Girraween (ranked 24 in Nsw) and someone else gets ranked 8th at James ruse (ranked 1st in NSW), then that James Ruse student will get a better mark than the girra student (due to school rank). Therefore, it is just to promote equity in the scaling system.

    Dude, I wish our school let us do Ext 1 Prelim for HSC too!!!

    My marks for Prelim for my exams are:

    1st Exam - 43/45 = 95.56% (Rank = 2/37)
    2nd Exam - 75/77 = 97.4% (Rank = 1/37)
    3rd Exam (external) - 72/84 (Rank = 2/37)

    Overall I'm ranked first, which I'm proud of. I expected more in the last exam and was very disappointed by it though... Hoping to ace my first HSC assessment, where moderation and alignment finally takes place!

    Yeah I do.... hahahaha
    We're doing series and sequences now - piece of cake!
    So just want to get my 3 units of HSC out of my mind in at the end of Year 11! :)

    Our school is ranked 63.

    Accelerated SOR I for our school is offered as a course to the top 25 performing students at English in the Year 10 cohort. These 25 are able to complete the HSC SOR I course in Year 11 and sit the HSC one year earlier. The accelerated HSC SOR I course had a lot of success with accelerated Year 10/11 students; all (100%) of the students in the accelerated class scored a band 6 in 2011, which the best record yet.

    The best way for it to run in your school would be to ask the principal or whoever is in charge to offer it to the top performing English students. The more people willing to do it, the better the chance. But this is a big step for the school to take... still try to influence them and hopefully there will be a class running.

    PS: I go to a Catholic school, therefore it's compulsory for me to do it anyway. And also, Studies of Religion II isn't offered at our school!

    haha...better than me...completely forgot about it :L if u didnt mention it, it would actually take me a while to realise..
    and u like skipped a grade so u'll probably get band 6 for everything..

    i am very lazy :L and i'm planning to do extension jap so i'm gonna spend a lot of time on it to get a good mark..
