    Haha yeah that is true... but I only studied for History/Geography in the SC
    Glad that is over...
    I got 47/48 (98%) in my first HSC maths task, but it was so easy! I was disappointed not to get 100% :(
    The topics were Calculus (Differentiation), Series and Sequences and Probability. How did you go?

    Hey Frostkruncher, what marks did you get in the SC? Maybe we can challenge each other by comparing our marks... and carrying on until the end of the HSC, possibly. I want to do Actuarial Studies, my primary aim.
    So my marks were:

    English - 85
    Maths - 97
    Science - 86
    History - 85
    Geography - 88
    Computing Skiills - 90

    What about you?

    We just finish the HSC Mathematics (2 unit) course in Year 11. So since Year 8 we did three terms of one full year of mathematics. In Year 10, we finished the Year 11 Two unit course in the first three terms. And we went straight to HSC maths, therefore skipping Year 11 three unit work, which is a negative. After the HSC for 2 unit maths, our school is supposed to 'clean-up' in our Year 11 three unit topics and Start Year 12 three unit! Yeah! That sums up math for me :D

    No i may be in 4u, but i have not done the 2u hsc since im not accelerated. Sorry

    hmm...about that :D i've done 10 qu. of english past paper and 60qu of science...that is all :L btw...is it just me but for english past paper, there are no stimulus sheets? like, it says awaiting for copyright..that also happened with some science qu. so i skipped them :L

    wow really? I've never really had a concept that I haven't understood as of yet in maths but I think learning outside is good because my school goes pretty fast, like a topic every 3-4 lessons if we really wanted to so there's not always enough exercises down to get the topic down pat.

    I failed my english trial :L . It was out of 90, 84/90 but to be fair, top mark was 87....... i don't know, ruse exams just seem so much harder than the school cert...

    hahhahaa. yeah true, d'you go tutoring for maths? since you're doing HSC already next year I assume that you're doing heaps of extra work ...

    but you've got to admit, a lot of asians go to tutoring centres because their parents force them to, not because we actually want to ==/

    hmm. 3u maths isn't that bad i suppose, just gets really repetitive imo. since you do freaking deferential calculus on everything and it just annoys me.

    Maybe it's just me but ruse seems to have a really bad reputation on this forum :S I've seen a couple of threads before in schools and somehow we've gotten ourselves quite a number of haters.

    Anyhow really? I'm sarah, lol. I'm probably the first ruse in my grade to be on this forum since everyone else is slaving away doing their maths and I'm just procrastinating

    we have accelerated SDD and IPT for year 9-10 students :D

    HSC maths still sounds scary, I've been doing my little bit of year 11 3u and it's pretty crazy near the end so I'm pretty much overwhelmed by the notion of doing 4u maths in yr 12.

    it's funny because they accelerate our Ag, but it's nice that maths is normal. I guess they just wnat everyone to get band 6s for EXT 2. People think that we dont have enough 4u classes even though we accept (4 classes) 96 out of 160-170 people in 4u course for year 12 every year. Personally I think that's a lot but others say everyone should do 4u :S

    How big are your 4u classes? I've heard stories that other schools only have 1 or 2 4u classes :S

    Wow, accelerated? they don't offer accelerated maths at ruse... Goodluck ! yeah, I'm doing Ag HSC next year. REally? Not offering SDD? As if, it's a really fun subject because of the game project in HSC year but the scaling isn't amazing I've got to admit but I'm doing it for fun :D.

    Are you planning on doing EXt maths though?

    lol..geo - i studied the night b4 the test >.> it was a total fluke :) PD = u no...PDHPE, stuff on drugs, alcohol and yehh... maths - :L so many silly mistakes D:

    our maths trials don't go my reports cos we accelerate :p
    tips for english? For multiple choice, really think about the question and use elimination if you are stuck, or go on.
    also for extended response write as much as you can with correct grammar and text type structure.
    learn your techniques and text types well!

    Yeh we had our trials I aced everything except history and geography -.- I got 72 and 78 respectively -.-
    But overall, 96 in maths, 88 in english and 93 in science :)
