    exam tomorrw!!

These are very pedestrian questions. 1) plenty of info in any good textbook, outline the 3 main steps - initiation, propgation, termination 2) The chemical equation is: C2H5OH (l) + 3O2 (g) --> 2CO2 (g) + 3H2O (l)/(g)

Job probability - commerce @ Macq

I find that statistic extremely hard to believe. Was it one unit? Was this 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th yr?

    Titration

Technically, yes. But using teflon-coated burettes reduces this. And most burettes are calibrated so this error is minimal.

Oh i remember...good times. I KNEW they were gonna take it down.

    Projectile Motion - A Question

A cannon is placed on a hill 50m above the sea, at an angle of 45 to the horizontal. If a cannonball is fired at 25m/s at the angle, what is the full range of the flight? Assume that where the cannon ball lands is 50 m below the top of the hill. U=25 Ux=25cos45 Uy=25sin45 Method 1...

    sig figs

They are certainly significant if after the decimal place eg 0.3 ---> 1 sig fig 0.30--->2 sig figs 0.3000-->4 sig figs and ^^^ spammy its a little more complex than that, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Significant_figures#Identifying_significant_digits

    Carried Error in Chemistry

You will receive part marks in subsequent questions, yes, if your method of calculation is correct, but you used wrong figures/previous information.

+1 Can someone post the 2U Paper here (or a link 2 it). Cheers.

    Un/Likely Questions for HSC 2009

graph it, pretty obvious or since k>3 3k>2k k+k>k+3 thus 2k>k+3 kence 3k>k+3

    Un/Likely Questions for HSC 2009

Funny you mention that. If youve seen the CSSA, NEAP and IND papers for 2009 MX1, you'll see all had quite a bit of binomial theorem in them (and towards the end of the paper), and two of them had a 'greatest coefficient' question in the form of 'which will have the greatest probability'...

    Hard differentiation

Functions of several vairables is not in the HSC, hence partial derivatives is beyond the scope of the syllabus.

    Another Hard Integration Question

    well done jetblack2007.
  17. Pwnage101

    Another Hard Integration Question

Like i said, the question as is is beyond the HSC. Thats not to say the concepts that you need are beyond HSC - they are not, however, the only way they could use this in an exam would be to guide you. Eg part a: solve u^4-1=0 part b: hence factorise u^4-1 into the product of two real...

    Another Hard Integration Question

decompose into partial fractions You'll need to use complex numbers to factorise the denominator into four complex factors (by using de moivres theorm and solving (u^4)-1 = 0), which then reduces to two real quadratics when you multiply two of these out, which you then decompose into partial...

    SHM Question

use auxiliary angle method to write in form x= Rsin(t+b), and you know maximum speed is when acceleration is zero, which is when displacement is zero, so find whenever that is and sub that value of t back into velocity.
