2U and 3U maths, Prelim and HSC

In the 2U course, as Dan said above, about 20% of the prelim course can be assessed, although much of the HSC course develops concepts learnt in the Prelim course. However, the entirety of the 3U course (ie. all content learnt in Year 11 and 12) can be examined in the HSC exam, and past papers...

    2U, 3U, and Chemistry Textbooks?

Yeah Cambridge is great for harder questions, and conquering chem is a good textbook for chem as well (it's what my school used too), but sometimes it does go into too much info and the questions can be a bit harder and not relevant to the syllabus. I personally didn't use dotpoint because of...

Start tutoring for HSC in year 11

It's up to you, but in reality, you probably won't aborb that much because you don't have the foundations as jazz said- and there's only so much you'll remember :)

2017 HSC piano ideas please help!!!!

Russian Rag is a very popular choice- so if you do play that piece- it does sound good- but the examiners will know if you stuff up.

Music 1: viva voce + performance ideas

I can't help you too much on the music 1 elective having done music 2, but you don't want to be choosing pieces that you can perfect in 8 weeks- you have at least 40 weeks to work on them- and you don't want to be bored in term 2 of your pieces because they're already great. So choose something...

    Subject help

I did bio in year 11- and while the first topic is fun- unless you like learning about evolution and Australian fauna, it's pretty boring. I hear it gets better in year 12, but I dropped it. I don't do physics- but I think it's one of the those subjects that if you can understand the concept...

Going into HSC 2017, Guide/Textbook Recommendations?

His notes are really, really good! But otherwise conquering Chem is good, but I'd really be getting the past paper books instead of textbooks as that's a way you can reinforce the knowledge you've learnt.

    Thoughts

Yeah multiple choice was difficult, the last short answer wasn't nice, the extended responses were fine

    Need help with english dilemma!

Considering Year 11 doesn't count anyway- I'd say choose it and you can always drop it if the workload gets too much. However, if you don't pick it now, you can't pick it up later down the track.

    elective music 2

Kudos to King of Acting- honestly don't know how you managed to do a composition elective!!! I did performance- it's like one more piece or something- but yeah play to your strengths, and ask your teacher for advice esp. If you're considering doing a musicology one.

Haha the struggles of the additional topic

    General Thoughts: Music 2 Paper

Same here I was literally recalling anything about development from way back in term 1. Did you guys like/dislike having only 2 score attachments?

    geo in year 12

Personally, I like the year 12 course more than the year 11 one simply because there's no project (yay!). It's honestly not that bad, the ecosystems topic is a bit content heavy, but if you've got a background in biology it's a bit easier to comprehend some of the more scientific terms that you...

Help! Advice on dropping subjects, opinions on 10 units?

Yeah I agree- I have 11 myself- it acts as a bit of a safety net yet it's not as bad as having 2 units that ultimately won't count. On a side note wow you have 38 in your geo cohort?! I have 5 in my class!
  17. B

    Year 11 subject selection

Psst do Geography- honestly it's like the easiest subject- but if you don't like memorising case studies and statistics or writing extended respones, then don't. And if you do well, scaling doesn't matter.
  18. B

How do you make a well-designed SGP Report?

Interviewing locals is always a good primary source, you could also do a survey asking for opinions as well and that's classified as primary sources too. You could also find council documents about the park (if such a website exists), and that would be a secondary source. I'd stick to one park...

    Clay

Hey guys, is anyone else doing Clay by Melissa Harrison for Module C: Representing people and landscapes? If anyone has resources it would be greatly appreciated :D

    Prelim and HSC Subject choices

Well, I do similar subjects (see sig), and well they aren't too bad if you're willing to put work into them.
