    Am I going well?

Mhmm this is true. Although I also didn't pick PDHPE for year 11/12, it is a good idea to work consistently for all subjects, regardless of how you think of them. It does really help in year 11/12 for consistency across subjects, which is what you're aiming for. Honestly, you're in year 9 and...

Year 11 Subject Selection Please Review!!!!

And a note, general maths is counted as 2 units, not one unit, so don't fall into that trap

    Being awfully prepared obviously

Which Science do I take- biology or senior science

Senior science scales terribly, and biology in year 12 is more biology than ecology/evolution and it's about the human body. So who knows? Maybe you'll like it, so I'd keep it.

    13 Units?

How are you going in your other subjects? Music can get a bit overwhelming if you don't practice (then you go oh shit two weeks before a performance because you know you won't be ready). What electives are you going to do this year? If you don't like them, then consider dropping it

    Dropping

Pick whatever you'll do best at, regardless of scaling, because the better you do, the more the scaling (down) won't affect you

    Starting HSC

I'M DOING NEARLY THE EXACT SAME SUBJECTS AS YOU :O (except i'm dropping Biology)

    Binder or Book?

I use a small binder (200 pages) for everyday school, then I keep all the notes for a subject in that folder until we finish that topic. After we finish a topic I move it out into a larger binder where I have all my notes. For English I'm going to file them into AOS and the modules (abc)...

    Binder or Book?

I have a 128 grid book for maths from the officeworks generic brand- I think it's called studymate? And last time I went to officeworks I think it was there.

    Biology or Ext English

In both standard and advanced you have An area of study, which wasn't in the year 7-10. I found it challenging for my mind to grasp an area of study and get to terms with it. Along with that a creative writing piece has to be around that area of study, and the texts that you analyse as well. The...

    Roll Call: Class of 2016

Hey guys! Subjects are in sig, and I'm aiming to get a band 6 in everything (band 5 for English), and I want to come first in my school for music, chem and geography. Uni? Perhaps Advanced Science or Secondary Teaching or Environmental Scientist. Though I'm sure I'll change this many times...

    Biology or Ext English

Bio is a lot of content, and the "skills" require you to know some knowledge of the content. Yr 11 Bio has evolution (bleh) and stuff about organisms and their environment. I hear the English extension is more similar to year 10's English format, and because of that it's easier. However the...

    Study Schedule

Yeah, I do a to do list too. As homework and revision vary for each subject each week, I find it's rather impractical to have a set study timetable for each week.

    That escalated quickly.

Are my subject choices any good?

An FYI for future posts: writing don't spam at the bottom of the post will make it a target for people like milky to spam :) Looks good to me! Be warned, biology in year 11 is a bit so so, evolution was a pain, and they make you study Australia (audible loud sigh), and it's a lot of content...
