My SM is the worst person for throwing stuff in the store. You better hope he doesn't find a piece of rotten fruit because if you are on the floor he will throw it at you...but I always make him get on his hands and knees and clean it up. I also heard something very interesting about one of our...

Well I would have thought so too but the only major line we ran out of when I went back was Broccoli, and that's only because they cut back our order by 50%. Everything else was still pretty full when I left at 8pm. Sitting on 6k whereas at the same time Xmas eve we were on 15k. Pretty breezy...

Don't see what everyone was moaning and complaining about at work. It was just the same as any Thursday. Just one extra 1/2 pallet of stock, a few more customers here and there. Easy :) Whereas Xmas eve, 4 extra pallets of FRESH stock, all hard stock came earlier in the week, and half an hour...

Man last night I was so angry I was considering reporting my bakery to the NZ Food Safety Authority. I bought a 6pk of Bread Rolls for dinner, as soon as I opened them the only thing I could smell was the fucking spice from Hot Cross Buns, and not only that but every roll had a couple of...

No offence but you guys should come into produce and try your hand at lifting 20 - 30kg crates. Although I guess on checkouts it isn't so much the weight of the product but the awkwardness of it. So ignore my flippent comment :)

Hah I just found this on one of Progressive's website - Store Fly Through It's an interactive walkthrough around one of the new generation countdown stores. Was pretty good actually.

Yeah...I was going to take Monday off as it is a public hol but it's my first day of covering in storeroom so I don't think that would look very good :P

Sometimes I wish I lived in Aus for the great public holiday rates and sunday rates. Here Sunday is just classified as a normal trade day :( No shorter opening hours, no special rates. Public hols are 1.5 hours.

Unless I get adequate notice, I will be leaving :) I asked her again today and she was like 'nah don't worry'. And if I wanted to be a total ass, I would leave at 10am, which is my contracted finish time :)

Might be different depending on your state but here Easter Saturday is not a public holiday, whereas Easter Monday is. Also re: Thursday. My Department manager is soooooo not prepared. I asked her if we should get another assistant in in the afternoon to keep it full and she was like "Nah I...

We put it into training mode and from there just find the 10 different products, print the receipt and hand it to a super.

Thank fucking god no. We are closed Easter Sunday and boy am I thrilled to have my first Sunday off in 7 months!!! SM asked me if I wanted to come in 2 times during the day and do the temps for all departments but I told him to drop dead.

Sorry you've having a bad time babikakes, but in my opinion all managers seem to have lost the ability to give any compliments, and only ever focus on the negatives. Although you would not believe it, my DM has been away for 3 days and yesterday my SM told me that the department has been...

Well technically food in the freezer isn't fresh...Hence the term 'Frozen'. And you are full of shit, someone would have seen you piss, and your ass would have been long hauled to jail.

In the past few months we have got new trolleys and new baskets...The baskets are clever, they have a security device enclosed in the handles, so they still go off when you walk past the EAS sensors, but you can't see or tamper with the security device.

So how do you know it hasn't been sitting in the sun, defrosted and then they refroze it?
