    General Thoughts: General Mathematics

No you add the Medicare levy because that is also a tax. I had trouble with the last question as a read fuel to mean petrol in the last part so I had to redo it. Hayley :)

    My working out for 11 was X=(45000 x 1.06 + 7500) / 12 X = 55200 / 12 X = 4600 Hayley :)

    General Thoughts: General Mathematics

Compared to past years, I thought it was quite time-consuming. Normally I finish in 1hr -1.5hr but I finished in 2hr today. Bit harder than previous years but pretty good overall Hayley :)

    general maths 2013 paper

Compared to previous years, I think that exam was quite challenging. Hoping for my band 6 after I've been averaging 95% but who knows. If most others find it difficult then scaling will be good Hayley :)

    General Thoughts: Modern History

Great Depression: Treaty of Versailles, 1st Eco crisis, stresemann era built on weak foundations, GD then political turmoil (abuse of powers, rivalries etc) Speer: Bio was First Architect, Germania/Reich Chancellery and Armaments. Essay talked about those things and ability to demonstrate power...

    General Thoughts: Modern History

That exam was a godsend. Predicted the Weimar question exactly so hoping for really good marks. Studied rise to prominence and contributions for Speer so that fit well Predicted Non-Aggression Pact for Conflict in Europe so I should get good marks considering it was basically the same essay as...

    HSC General Maths Marathon

I'm rank 1/52 with average of 95%. Dropped from 2-unit in Year 12. Aiming for Band 6 with 95+ just to keep average up. Hoping for state rank so fingers crossed. Hayley :)

    Multiple Choice

Yeah it's definitely retribution. I know that in regards to taxation law (little bit different to crime but same logic applies) that any proceeds gained as a result of criminal activity are forfeited to the government (through the tax office) as punishment for tax evasion. I'd guess the same...

    Family and Shelter questions

Yeah I wrote 3 pages then 3/4 of a page in an additional writing booklet. I hadn't really studied anything besides divorce (which didn't apply to the question), shared parental responsibility and the care/protection of children (ineffectiveness of DOCS). I made sure to use lots of legislation...

    Crime Extended Response

It's perfectly fine to use foreign cases as part the assessment (marking criteria) says: refer to relevant examples such as legislation, cases, media, international instruments and documents. I used the Bulger case but compared it to R v Gorrie (1919) and R v LMW (1999). And what are you talking...

    Family and Shelter questions

I actually didn't study contemporary responses at all...just went from the response to problems topic. I didn't think they'd ask for birth technology and surrogacy again so i didn't write notes on it. Our family essay for the assignment was protecting the child so it kind of fit but at least the...

    Multiple Choice

Actually the GG is part of the Parliament (Taken from Parliamentary Education Office): Parliament (also referred to as the Legislature) is made up of the Queen (represented by the Governor-General), the Senate and the House of Representatives.

    Family and Shelter questions

Its really just a generalised ethics and values questions. I tried to link them as much as I could but my thesis was pretty much that because the right to adequate housing is stated in the ICESCR, society believes that rights should be upheld then I talked about how there is inadequate...

    Family and Shelter questions

I was just curious about the peace rights question. Wasn't too sure but I linked it to the ICCPR and the UDHR and said is was the right to leave freely from aggression, war and conflict. Hopefully I get two marks. Family was ok for me but I only wrote about 3 3/4 pages because I really only...
