I have a feeling that the aligning would vary greatly year to year, especially Geophysics and Age of Silicon.

Tbh... it doesn't really interest me (and I think it is because I don't really know what it involves). If you would enlighten me that would be fantastic. I mean I like all my subjects (especially maths)... I really don't know what I'm going to do. The electric circuits and stuff does sound...

Thanks for that. Very helpful. Tbh the more calculation questions in the topic the better (for me). I like the idea of analysing circuits and stuff... basically the order of what you mentioned things in was the order of what I'd most want to do -> least want to do. I have plenty of time anyway...

If you want him to pick a humanities subject to have more breadth then maybe talk to him about his favourite humanities subject and least favourite science to see whether he would like to change. If not then there is nothing wrong with doing 3 sciences and it is certainly not a bigger workload...

Just putting this out there: I did work experience in a medical science lab and all the scientists seemed to think that the actual work was fantastic but the pay and hours were terrible (they restricted the number of hours the scientists could work so that they could pay them less).
