Re: studying patterns HSC o9'ers ... =D yeh i found that really good too :) homework is useless and lets face it, if you're not at a good school, class is pretty useless anyways, you're much better off studying from your own textbooks say MQ, Excel etc to state a few otherwise, wow you guys...

uumm im not actually sure i only did 2 unit...but i need to learn all three for my uni course nxt yr :( dats y i need all dese txtbooks

what if i wanted to do a double major, say accounting and finance, would honours still be available? and would that differ in any way from if i just did a finance major? would i be disadvantaged in any way?

i actually need all 3 though i need mathematics, maths ext 1, and math ext 2 :S dats y

is dat, the course i think it was called B Mathematics and Finance at UTS? because i was considering that 1 too...

uum i dont want to be an IB??? im assuming thats investment banker??? yeh i don't want to do that, if thats what everyone is saying....i want to be a stockbroker/ dealer...so in that case which 1 is best?

:S meh doesn't stop some ppl, dey give us 8 pg booklets 4 english and yet ppl do 24 pgs per question...but phew dats a relief if 4 pgs r d best 1s :)

heyy i want to do finance too, and i reccomend don't go to either...go unsw/usyd they're preffered for IB cos thats a faily competitive career but you'd have to graduate with honours no matter what if you want a high paid job...if you don't think you'll get the marks just transfer after a year...

how come a law program? i don't mean to be annoying but how would a joint law degree help? what extra benefits would it bring as opposed to just having a commerce degree?

my father has a friend who finished Applied Finance in UWS, and he now works at Commonwealth Bank...maybe he is an exception but i asked him anyhow and he said it doesn't matter what university you have finished as those banks hire people from overseas as well, from universities that hardly...

yeah i heard that too...but the uai is significantly lower that usyd/unsw...however mqs finance program specialiases in that "B Applied Finance" whereas usyd and unsw are "B Commerce"...thats what really confuses me in choosing i suppose
