I am wondering if there are any Cadets here or others who are doing Commerce part time this year. I am a bit nervous because I've picked night lectures etc and everyone I know doing Commerce are doing it full time.

Haha woaaah I take offence to that! I might do Software Eng along with my Commerce degree next year. I'm not doing it this year cos I am working. My majors... Finance/Accounting.

I disagree. I didn't like it because I couldn't fully grasp the complexities of the novel but really when you understand it and you can link aspects of the book to its context & whatnot it is actually quite interesting. I think from all the texts I did that was my best piece.

I don't think anyone gives a shit where you get your undergrad degree from as long as you have really good results. I think it matters where you go if/when you get a post-grad.

And I gave you an example of my mate who pays 50 an hour and is not improving at all. Therefore getting a tutor doesn't always mean that you're improving your marks.

I disagree with you there. Based on the assumption that you have a good tutor (ie someone who explains things well, understands how you can improve etc), it's my belief that whether you pay $25 for this or $75, the tutor is not going to do wonders if you don't put the work into it. Last year...

What would be the point of making english compulsory but marks not? What a waste of time spending a whole year working for it, getting nothing back in return. That would completely demotivate me and I'd wag the class every chance I got... I'm sure others would too. Either have it at or don't ...
