i can't comprehend why this is aimed at immigrants only. There are many born and breed aussies that sit and live off the dole. Yes, there should be something done to control "immigrant issues" but, before that we got to start at home!

Just like anything i watch, i went in with an open mind. Fifteen minutes into the show i'm thinking "Great this will be another one of those shows; it won't last" But i was hooked until the end. I enjoyed it, just hope i won't be disappointed down the track.

My advice; don't be narrow minded. Your teacher has an excellent point; "same old thing" The best thing about yr 12 english is it lets you choose the texts you want to study. I remember i did a song by Eminem and the movie 300. The more diverse your texts are the greater depth you can take to...

I placed MQ as an option as well. I heard B Arts/M teaching at UWS has a poor reputation and i agree that MQ is a great uni for teaching. In the Arts handbook, there is a list of the textbooks required. So I was in the midst of purchasing these books however, i was just wondering: would the lecturers require a particular publisher or edition or anything else i must take into whilst purchasing the books? Thanks! :music:
