    I don't think theres any need to explain WHY O is more electronegative than H. We just need to mention it IS δˉ while H is δ+ and hence it forms hydrogen bonds with other organic polar substances. That's the reason why it will dissolve polar sub. And it has non polar alkyl group which will form...

    Thank you! Of course I know these fundamental stuff, can't learn hsc Chem without the basics right? Just wondering if I will be tested on some details such as the electron arrangement of water, the bent structure, and explain electronegativity trend across period and stuff like that???

    Thanks for noticing I don't do physics haha good memory! Well I know for maths it links with the prelim stuff. Mainly ask for Chem, will they ask questions from prelim? Is there any need to revise prelim chem stuff?

    Dotpoint vs Surfing textbooks

    Our school uses surfing 4 chemistry and I actually find them actually really help me understand the contexts. I use surfing for my revision of chemistry. =) But you can borrow it from the library first and see how it goes. They are actually unreasonable expensive!

    Do we need to learn about isomers? I've noticed that there were types of questions about isomers appeared in past paper, but I couldn't find it in syllabus anyway and it has become a concern that I havent come across about these sort of questions So is it in the syllabus O_O
