    The Anime Thread

Damn I knew it was TK! So far 91 Days is good, but I can somehow see that it's going to be a bit repetitive & predictable

Course requirements for a specific Uni they want to get into. A lot of students are competitive and being in the top 5% is a sense of accomplishment.

James Ruse 2012 MX2 Trial Q11(d) Geometrical Complex Numbers Question

    Re: JR 2012 4U Trial 11d) Geometrical Complex Numbers Question So If I do this \begin{matrix} \overrightarrow { OA } \end{matrix}rotated\quad by\quad \frac { 2\pi }{ 3 } =\begin{matrix} \overrightarrow { OC } \end{matrix}\\ How would I go proving the scale? Would this be right...

Orphan Black and Brave New World (MOD C Adv English)???

If you're really adamant on doing Orphan Black, just look up themes and techniques, and watch clips of scenes that are important than having to watch the episode.

Orphan Black and Brave New World (MOD C Adv English)???

Watch V for Vendetta or the Giver or Snowpiercer All good texts about some sort of totalitarianism. I did V for Vendetta for my speech but didn't have to relate to it, but you can. There's quite a bit of resources on the topics of VfV, not so much the educational side i.e. techniques and...

James Ruse 2012 MX2 Trial Q11(d) Geometrical Complex Numbers Question

Now, from i), AOC is found to be \frac {2\pi}{3} What I'm getting confused at is ii). The solution makes sense until they make an expression for \gamma Ok so, \gamma is \xrightarrow { OC } , Arg \gamma is \theta + \frac {2\pi}{3} - which they never use again for some reason...

    What to learn?

Probably Prelim 3U. As what my school did was that we pretty much did 1 term of HSC 3U and then the rest 4U.
  8. ProdigyInspired

    What to learn?

No. Usually polynomials and graphs don't have integration. You can easily learn graphs after understanding domains, ranges, turning points, stat points, etc. pretty much just understand how curves work, and you just learn how to transform them. Polynomials is fairly easy but probably need 3U...

How do you solve this inequality?

what nailgun said if you can describe your problem like that, why not convert it into an algebraic equation? You'll be able to see it better

i feel so unproductive ._. all i've done this holiday is go through 3-4 past papers and the chemistry syllabus since I didn't have proper notes for chemistry, and theres two weeks left to add on, i need to become a pokemon master how much has everyone else done?

    Help wit Q -

I thought this is 3U content (Simple Harmonic Motion)? Is a = -n^2 x taught in 2U? Unless this is a 3U question?

    Fertiliser

I just did an assignment on this and mainly used Shah's and other reports. Here's how I set it out. Consider how much sulphate SO4 is in Barium Sulfate, so mm(SO4)/mm(BaSO4) = ??% Therefore the mass of SO4 is found through ??% x Mass (Barium Sulfate) Then mass of SO4 / mass of fertiliser x...

    Concerns about AAS

It's fine, I'm revising for Chemistry myself. Yes the monochromator separates the light into different wavelengths and selects a specific one. I'm not 100% sure, but different concentrations and different substances do indeed have different wavelengths, so this may not be true for every...

Neymar has great potential and there's no reason for him to be better than Suarez. Honestly they're two different players. Neymar is a ronaldinho-esque player - tricks, speed, lots of flair. While Suarez dominates as a striker that has great movement and has vision, combined with good scoring...

    Concerns about AAS

I never type like this sorry, but its easier to get my point across. Clarification The lamp emits photons from the excitement of its electrons in the atom it energies through voltage. The fire then absorbs this light and the specific wavelengths SPECIFIC to that metal. So therefore, the...

    Concerns about AAS

I did a bit more research and I'm now sure its the light. The flame is purely used to do atomisation. The lamp excites the metal ions and emits a light beam in excess. The flame then absorbs the light through its atomised metal ions. The metal atom in the fire has its electrons excited since...

    Concerns about AAS

AAS usually occurs in a closed environment, so I'm guessing the energy doesn't get dispersed as it's concentrated into the beam of light. The change in energy is what defines AAS as it measures how much concentration you have for your metal after passing it through the flame.

    Concerns about AAS

Actually I'm unsure now, I think its the flame. http://www.ausetute.com.au/aas.html "Light with specific frequencies is absorbed by different metals when they vaporize in a flame. The energy absorbed excites electrons, moving them from their ground state to a higher energy state."...

    Concerns about AAS

I'm pretty sure the lamp heats it up, and as it cools down it emits the energy. "As they return to their ground state, the energy originally absorbed is released in the form of a photon (light energy)". Because the combusted metal/mixture in the fire is turned into atoms rather than ions...
