Going into an exam without any food in your system is pretty embarassing. I had Economics this morning and I think all my mate behind me could hear was my stomach grumbling for food.

Ok maybe it wans't chicken fights... it was people fighting bets... I can't remember :P So we write a whole essay on the concept that the texts bring about but don't we have to show *how* they bring the concept about as well?

We got showed a Seachange episode & she said we could use that as our supp text. I'm thinking of just using an article somewhere that shows one of the paradigms in terms of global/local tension or something.

K so does that mean that we talk about the techniques they use to portray "global" & "local" personalities of the characters and stuff? Like I mean.. what would you make of their chicken fight bets?

Yeah so many people do Crime Fiction & so there's a lot of resources out there for it. We're doing Retreat From the Global and NO ONE has done the frigin short stories that we've had to study :mad:

I have a tutor for 3u/4u. I think you should get a teacher who currently teaches 4u because that shit is hard and you need someone who is very experienced at attacking all sorts of questions & giving you different ideas/different ways to do it.

Can last year's grads be kind of enough to take the time to relay their half yearly nightmares? Some of us are packing it about screwing up certain exams that had big weightings and it's just nice to know about people who've overcome it and excelled. (Motivation thing) Thank you!

hehe... well I think I'm going to forget about guesstimating my UAI till closer to trials or something. What I would really like, more than a UAI estimator is something that will convert raw marks to scaled marks... it'd be handy for when I get my HY results back but we can't have one of those...
