    should i drop 3U maths?

+1, seeing as your school is ranked 5, an average in maths is most likely going to still give you an e4

Does anyone know the source for these chemistry notes?

I used these notes too! Maybe you should just look for alternatives, I didn't come across any more of this setting during my prelim yr.

    Need advice!

Hey don't lose hope, I did nothing in my prelim year and I'm still doing nothing for my HSC year unless there's an assessment or an exam coming up, if there is one of the two coming up I pull myself together and start doing work, like actual work. [I blame myself for this, keep procrastinating...

    ATAR Estimate

    I would say high 80s low 90s, so 88-92.

    Atar Estimate Please

Hi, yeah he may get into the 90s but that estimate was just my opinion at the time. Being first in two subjects do not guarantee a band 6, it just means you have a chance of getting one. Please take into account that a HSC mark for chemistry of 87 scales to the same figure of 97 (top 0.6% of...

    Atar Estimate Please

Oh whoops, thought my estimate was in my other response. I'd estimate your ATAR to be: 85-88 currently

    Estimate my ATAR

How are you doing in the tests compared to second (for the subjects you're first in)?

    english speech

I believe you should actually time yourself to give a better estimate. I'd say 150 words per minute after practice. Note that nervousness may enable you to speak more quickly.

    IB or atar?

From what I heard: IB --> more of self study course, generally hard than HSC, you gotta pick a subject from different "lines", if you pick IB prepare for a load of work if you want to do well. HSC --> help readily available, easier than IB, subject of choice is based on what your school...

What does it feel like to finish the HSC?

Any of you guys still visit your schools? or in contact with any teachers? Haha, seems tough to leave, school seems not too bad as I woulda thought in younger years. Long holidays, chill classrooms, meet friends everyday etc.

Who wants to pull an all nighter with me?

Sorry for late reply haha, at the time I was watching a movie for english and analysing, reading reviews etc. Ended up youtubing and playing a dota game and going to sleep :L

Who wants to pull an all nighter with me?

holy crap this is so true LOL, im semi-unproductive in the night too though :( [not as bad as day xD]
  15. A

Sorry for the stupid question. But how do people get low ATARS?

I'd say with your current ranks, I can quite confidently say you're looking at a 55+ atar :)

    Unfair Weighted Exam

Haha, that's a bit different aint it :P, this is year 12, so formalities and everything should be up to standard.

    Unfair Weighted Exam

I believe it's unfair if you weren't told the examination was out of 14 before the actual day. When were you told what the test was out of?
