    scaling questions

It really depends on your atar goal, cause if you are aiming for a 95+ atar you would really want a few band 6s (which is 90+).

?? Is it hard to get atar over 85 ??

I am pretty sure most unis in NSW, allow for EAS bonus points, which are bonus additions to your ATAR or Aggregate (not sure which one) that boosts your selection rank which is ultimately what universities use to rank applicants and give them offers. Also, it is ok if you messed on trials...

    Good Schools for Past Papers?

I've found CSSA papers much harder than all the selective school ones including James Ruse. This is for 3 unit Maths tho

    How do you study/revise?

Rote learning just means to repeatedly study something by doing the same thing over and over again i.e you could be memorising pdhpe content through repetitive exercise questions. Basically it just means to HARD GRIND.

    How do you study/revise?

Ayy same issue I was facing after my Maths Extension prelims which I completed in year 10. So honestly having completed the MX1 Course and now on my way to complete the HSC exam, the best advice I can give is to just sit down and do questions. Depending on the type of subject they are, you may...

    How does selection ranks work?

Thanks for the replies! So if it was a competitive course that has a placement limit which let's say has a minimum selection rank of 99, would it be safe if I got an Atar of let's say 99.10 with to adjustment factors?

    How does selection ranks work?

Probably a bit too early to worry about this rn, but I was just curious what is the difference between a selection rank and ATAR? Also when I am looking to apply for courses, should I be aiming for an ATAR above the minimum selection rank or an ATAR above the minimum atar shown? Thanks!

    HSC Prep

I'm only doing my MX1 and 2u Maths hsc this year, but I'd recommend attempting a past paper and identify any weaknesses or gaps that you might have, and really focus on fixing those up. Then after that, I'd start to just grind past papers and focus a lot on the more challenging questions, for...

    99.95 without extension 2 maths

I don't think you should be worried about scaling if you are aiming for a 99.95, since you need to get extremely high for all your subjects for that mark, and scaling pretty much wears off at the 90+ end. Also, don't worry if you didn't pick 4u maths since I know people who got 99.95 without...

    Preliminary Exams

need help figuring out an option- post-grad med

I am pretty sure there is the non-standard entry for some med schools i.e WSU, UNSW, JMP, and some interstate schools, where you are able to apply during your uni degree provided you maintain a competitive GPA as well as getting a 90%+ UCAT score (usually much higher). If you aren't able to get...

    Question on MX2 course

Hi, I am currently nearing the end of my MX1 HSC year as I am accelerated, so I was thinking of picking up MX2 for year 12 because of both the recommendation to my accel class by the school as well as my general interest in maths. I just wanted to ask whats the difficulty of the new syllabus...
