    Kubla Khan help!

Well there's a kind of revelation in kuba kahn (last stanza especially) about the creative power of the mind and shiz. That's what I talk about for change, kind of like how in lime tree bower he has the revleation of the awesomeness of nature being everywhere bla bla ba

For those of us taking more than 10 units into the HSC...

I toyed for ages over whether to drop art, cause I thought i'd go crap - but now I've been doing really well, so I'm glad I didn't. Conversly, I thought I'd go well in ext maths. no sirree bob. so i'm very glad i trusted my instinct and didn't follow my logic of 'oh art will take so much...

Some advice on my workload please?!

I'm the opposite, ext 1 english takes me the least time to study, and I got 50/50 for my trial. But yeah, I do 4 ext subjects (4U Eng, 3U maths, mod history + ext), and its really not that bad, provided you're not at a school where they drown you in unnecessary homework. that could be an issue.

My stupid, skinny, no periods day, immature friend.

I was underweight for about a year in year 10, and I didn't get my period again until I put some weight back on. Maybe Katie your body is just ok with being skinny? mine certainly wasn't, damn body. And I wasn't even that skinny but yeah, osteoporosis, low iron levels and junk. always feeling...

    Kubla Khan help!

I think if you don't get it by now you'd be better off trying to learn one of the conversational poems instead. but the main connection to imaginative journeys i make is to do with the river alph (aleph, alpha in other forms). It represents the stream of consciousness, the flow of human...

awesome, thanks for letting us all know! this module is so broad, it's great to hear something a little more direct
  17. janaranaran!

    What could they ask?

they have different questions for different texts. and i think even if you do mainly only talk about your response, you'd want to make it clear you understand how context influences reception, both with your response and those of others (without going overboard into making your whole essay...
  18. janaranaran!

    What could they ask?

the rubric's second point still says something about understanding the text's reception in different contexts
  19. janaranaran!

    What could they ask?

They won't specify the scene for you, like they aren't going to say discuss act 2 scene 3 or whatever, but they have a number of times said "Support you answer with an examination of two key extracts" or something similar. SO basically prepare 3 or 4 scenes that relate to your reading/the...

    tim winton = sex addict?

I'll admit when I was first introduced to Winton's work with 'that eye, the sky' I was a little taken aback by his frankness (even though that book is very tame compared to others). Once you get past that initial ewww reaction though, I found I really appreciated his idiosyncratic, slightly...
