I did standard english (got band 5) along with 'low scaling subjects', ancient history, biology, and still got a 94.5 Atar. But, a band 5 is a MUST in standard. Band 4 or less will drastically lower your chances of scoring a high Atar....

Type them out. I used to also think that handwriting was the way to go, but i realised it was just wasting my time. Just type it out, then read over, highlight, get the jist of the main points etc, then write out the ones you have trouble with getting. Then do some pratice questions/past papers...

what about ancient history? im hoping for 92+ in hsc exam and my internal rank is 3/42, dont tell me because its poor scaling im gonna get like scaled down to like 70 :(
