    Is my physics exam unfair?

Yes it would be fair, because everyone has access to those questions, no group of people had information that others didn't, and it still technically addresses the syllabus. It may be a bad exam in terms of correctly assessing one's ability, but it is still fair. A definition of 'just': "free...

    Is my physics exam unfair?

The exam was not unfair in any way. It came down to whoever practised the most questions, or whoever knew the concepts the best in order to answer the questions. Those who happen to practice the right questions and get lucky will not be lucky forever. As to the nature of the exam, yes the...

    Is my physics exam unfair?

But that doesn't make it unfair. The fact of the matter is all the resources available to those students were also available to OP. Now I'm not saying the exam was a good one, but it was fair. The teacher never gave any students extra information and he never told them what questions were going...

    TIPS?

Because prelim maths is important for hsc maths. Whereas other subjects, prelim isnt important for the most part.

    TIPS?

It's best to experiment with study methods to see what works, and develop good study habits. Your marks are not a priority, but if you develop good study habits, you should get decent marks. Don't completely relax, but don't go hard either. Also if you do maths, try as hard as you can in it.

HELP ME PLEASE - 10 or 12 units with physics that isn't working great for me???

If you know you can't do well enough in it for it to count, drop it now and make time for your other subjects.

A wave in all three dimensions. So light from the sun, or sound from a speaker, they travel up, down, sideways and forwards. <---three dimensions.

Is Standard English an atar killer?

And these students don't perform well in their other subjects, which determines scaling.

Is Standard English an atar killer?

You can get a band 6, but it's extremely difficult. If you do hit the band 6, scaling won't effect you too much.

Bad ATAR if Im doing 11 or "10 units?"

The only reason why it is frowned upon by most teachers is that you don't have a 'back-up' for if you screw up a subject. If you believe you can do well with the 10 units, then there shouldn't be anything to stop you. There is no point in having a 'back-up' if it is treated as a back-up, and...

    HSC Physics Marathon 2013-2015 Archive

Re: 2013 HSC physics marathon This. Radius of earth = 6378km (probably should have given this) Therefore velocity at equator: v = (2*pi*6378000)/24*60*60 Centripetal acceleration = v^2/r = 462.82^2/6378000=0.03373 ms^-2 Therefore effective value of 'g' at the equator is reduced by 0.033...

It's only one shortcut, but its this concept of minimising working that saves time to be spent on the harder questions.

For example, if i asked you to square root 35-12i, you should write this on your exam paper: sqrt(35-12i)= +or- (6-i) In your head you can find 2 numbers that multiply to give -6, and one of them squared minus the other squared is 35. Seems trivial but learning shortcuts such as this across...

    Help with question please

Let the 5 digits after the 1 be m. Therefore your original number is 100 000 + m. If all the digits of m are moved one to the left, and the 1 moves to the end, we are left with 10m + 1 (by multiplying by ten, we add a zero to the end which results in all the digits moving one to the left). Now...
