    2012 School Rankings

DA (distinguished achievers) means how many band 6s there were. The % is how many band 6s per exam sat. So Ruse sat 1137 exams in total, and they got 780 band 6s. So the DA% is 780/1137=0.686=68.6%

If you ran at the Olympics in the 100m, would you be disappointed in last? Of course because you gave it your all but at...

Fair enough, still check. But regarding giving a mark blindly, that doesn't happen.

Sorry if it came across as rude, but think about what you are saying. If they can read the response you will lose minimal or no marks for handwriting. If they can't read it, they cannot give marks. Now in the event your handwriting was too messy, nothing can be done. They can't remark, because...

It means you should have learned how to write properly. Markers cannot mark something they can't read. No ones fault but yours.

"This service is an opportunity to confirm your marks were processed correctly. It does not involve a re-mark of examination responses." You unfortunately cannot get your paper remarked.

    Sad about HSC Marks..

Sometimes you can't change your situation, the only thing you can change is how you deal with it.

    Mathematics Notes Survey.

Also highlighting or putting in a different coloured font the parts that may be beyond the syllabus. Say a proof does not need to be known, putting it in red or something just makes it easier for later study when you want to see what you need to know.

    Mathematics Notes Survey.

A weird thing I enjoy in maths notes is the short history on a topic. For example when radians was first introduced, Cambridge gave a good short summary about where they come from and why they're used.

Time needed to check over a test

There is no such rule. The teacher should really be writing feedback, but not many do and there isn't much you can do about it besides asking the teacher after class or something why you lost the marks.

    Differentiate pi^3

Differentiate 3^3. Now differentiate 3.14^3 Now differentiate 3.14159265359^3 Getting it now? Pi is a constant.
