    Nursing??

Well, I'm comparing to CSU and UTS. USYD doesn't have nearly as much 'hands on' experience in comparrison, and in nursing, clinical work is of the upmost importance (well, to me anyways :D). The lecturers at Sydney sounded like they were sprouting off '10 reasons to come to Sydney' rather than...

    Uni living arrangements

..On Campus, if I go to CSU. My mum or maybe move in with my sister, if I go to UTS.

    Nursing??

I loved UTS, I spoke to a lecturer and a student.. I'm having a very hard time decideding between UTS and CSU ATM... I loved both. Sydney sucked the big one. I liked the medicine faculty (I'm considering doing Graduate Medicine following my nursing degree..) and the lady I spoke to really...

UTS, definatly Ash. UTS was soo much better..

thoughts after open days at usyd/uts

UTS ppl were heaps nicers and more helpful. They answered the questions you asked; not beating round the bush, trying to make the place seem exellent. I know thats they're suppose to sell the Uni to you, but all I wanted was straight answers, not a bloody thesis on clinical placement ;) Mind...

    Graduate Medicine at Sydney university

I was told today that the GAMSAT is really hard... but then, you only need 50 - 60 to be given an interview. After that, 1/3 (roughly) of the interviewed get in.. The GAMSAT is more logic and reasoning, but the chick at USYD told me if you get a year 12 science text book (didn't say which...

    Usyd vs UTS (Open DAY)

I reckoned UTS was better... but the Medicine lecturer I talked to from Sydney was really really nice. And grad medicine was my reason for going and looking at Sydney.. :) Hated the nursing faculty. The UTS people and lecturers seemed heaps nicer in comparrison. Who was handing out Bored of...

Is UWS all that bad or is it an ok uni to go to???

UWS is fine - My sister went there and is in Medical School over in Canada now.. She transfered from UNSW and said UWS is heaps heaps better. It has less snobs and the lecturers are alot more aprochable. I've spoken to a few UWS lects. and they all seem really nice and friendly. USYD and...

    Nursing??

I dunno.. the Campus is shit ;) (Out at Cumberland) but alot of nursing students I know that have done or are doing their degree at Sydney warned me against it.. I dunno, guess I'll check it out for myself :)

    UAI help!!!

Depends what Uni you go to, I know (UWS I think) that some Uni's just say as long as you achive a UAI of 60+, and prove that you can achive in Uni (recomendations, previous marks ect) that they'll let you in :D

    Nursing??

Pretty much, teaching people to do every day things -- usually after they've had a stroke, serious accident. You can do industrial stuff to.. It's pretty much physical rehabilitation. I'm thinking of maybe Physio as well, but I've gotta have a look at Sydney first :D Speech Pathology sounds...

    Nursing??

It was OK. It's a 19th century orphange.. so it thought it was kinda.. spooky. But then, if I was to go; it's be at Bankstwon, Campbelltown or Hawkesbury. Not Parra ;) But it seemed OK - the lectures and such. The Occupational Therapy course really took my attention.. after the Sydney and UTS...

    CSU Albury

They live on the Victorian side.. I'm not sure what school they went to (but it was on the Woodonga outskirts..) The two eldest ones have left (One's doing equine/horse stuff in Scone, the other's still therfe going electrotechnology at TAFE. and the youngest does distance ed because she's...
