Phillip Pullman - His Dark Materials

I bought "Lyra's Oxford" the other day. It's a cute little book but not worth the $29.95 rrp.

    "Midnight on the 5th"

In that case, Captain Gh3y is an idiot for stressing the hell out of me.

    "Midnight on the 5th"

This seems stupid but does mean that change of preferences closed 10 minutes ago, or that we have until midnight on the Thursday night?

    Did I burn my hair?

If it doesn't look burnt and isn't breaking off then it's unlikely you did any real damage. When you using crimpers/straighteners etc. a burnt smell is pretty normal, and don't forget any oil or product already in your hair is being singed by the heat.

Do any of you do all 6 subjects?

That's bullshit. Why would you want to do 15 units?

    No Maths, Science or History

I liked Modern better. Ancient was easier, but Modern was more interesting. The worst thing about Modern was having to remember so many dates. Both history courses involve a LOT of content.

    = ) Organisation tipies!

Don't forget that the notes and handouts you receive in class will be used in future lessons, so you can't organise them into separate folders every afternoon. I suggest that in addition to the folders you have for each subject at home you have a separate lever arch folder with dividers for...

    Society & Culture Honour Roll

Yeah congrats, I saw a pic of Jace from Kiama High (I think he's the user jaihson) in the paper. Jealous of his 99!

    additional study resources

For SOR the Macquarie guide is the best. Also, when you're doing your ISP (if you haven't already completed it), there's a Living Religion chapter on it that wasn't included in the text book (or at least not in mine) here: http://www.pearsoned.com.au/LinkedFiles/Free/0733921841/livrel17.pdf

    Query

I was equal first with two other people in Society and Culture. My assessment mark was 92, whereas my exam mark was 94. What does that mean?

Saudi court orders gouging out of Indian's eye

Why is it that every single thread lately turns into SashatheMan criticising Islam?

    Most under rated movie

Most people hated Alexander but I really liked it.

    ISP topics

I did Shinto and got 18 or 19 out of 20 if I remember correctly.

UNSW and Usyd open days on the same bloody day

This got me really cut, I still don't know which one I'm going to go to. The invitation we got from UOW in the mail actually discouraged me cause of how it said we should only go if we want to look at different pathways into uni, or if we have specific questions about next year.

HARRY POTTER & THE HBP - what did you think? (SPOILERS!)

I can't imagine life without Harry either...

http://www.smh.com.au/news/books/final-potter-book-next-year/2005/12/28/1135732632409.html Well. I thought she would have started by now.

HARRY POTTER & THE HBP - what did you think? (SPOILERS!)

They didn't even get together. Besides, it's been blatantly obvious since GOF.
  19. PaleReflection

Phillip Pullman - His Dark Materials

They've been planning this for sooooooo long. They've finally gotten a director.

Do you follow advice from glossy magazines?

I know that Dolly Doctor is like a bible for most teenage girls.
