    Engineering/Commerce Semester 2 courses help!

I think you should just look at your engineering program and make sure you do all the correct core subjects so you can progress there. Commerce can then just fill in the gaps. As for commerce if you wanna get an early taste do econ1101 (micro) or acct1501 (accounting), these are the core ones.

    English Help

If there is a single most important thing to know about english it is this: No matter what question you get, you can count on them actually looking for "language techniques" and how it influences YOUR interpretation of whatever your writing about. Also you should ideally read other...

    advice on choosing HSC subjects

I agree. But thats not what im talking about. Obviously a freak in a low scaling subject will be better than a loser in a high scaling one. I was talking about the likelihood of attaining certain results for a studnet content with being average in ones class. Only look at average...

    advice on choosing HSC subjects

Thanks guys thats the site i was trying to find. Sure i know its possible but its not likely. If a person is happy with being an average student in a non top-100 school, that person is unlikely to even achieve a UAI in 80s . (In my school i was like 10th/120 with a UAI of 89). In my...

    Electrical Engineering

yeh well i found 3 unit maths a living hell. Yes electrical engineering is bloody maths oriented in the first few years..well beyond 3 unit level but it is actually taught well and there are quite a few mini tests throughout the semester which cover a seriously small amount of material. Each...

    BCom/BEn

You will do less hours if u do com/eng as opposed to eng/sci or even eng alone, since comm subjects which are 6 credit points tend to be 3h a week (2x lec + 1x tut), while eng subjects vary, usually 6 credit point subject is 5-6h a week... i think in first year eng == eng/sci == 24h per week...

    I chose the wrong course

as far as my very limited undertanding of transfer goes, i think if u wait untill the end of the year then they will count both your UAI and your uni marks to decide if you get the transfer. However if you dont finish 1 full year of uni but instead transfer mid year , then only your UAI will...
