    Cadetships/Traineeships- which uni?

Yeh Gina is groovy. You will probably do alot with her next year, helping her recruit the next years intake. I do enjoy it very much, I work with good people and have a good time. I learn alot, dont get overworked, and get paid for it all. It is certainly worth the extra year, it is...

Well if one is doing the advising...then what 'work' is left? Typing up the advice and signing it?

    Questions over greatness of Warne?

Murali will never be widely considered the slow bowler in history, even if he takes 1000 wickets. This is simply because he is already widely regarded as a chucker and a cheat. Unfortunately for him that will never go away. By the way, he IS a chucker and a cheat.

    Cadetships/Traineeships- which uni?

My apoligies I should of checked this earlier. I work in tax at EY and there are quite a few people doing double degrees, including one person at UNSW. She had the same problem as you with the whole enrolling full time and only doing two subjects thing. It was worked out relatively...

    Tax accountant/ tax lawyer

Do we consider a tax accountant to be a tax consultant? At an accounting firm we are called tax consultants. Now this may seem trivial but is there a difference between them? I consider them the same. And in that scenario from experience I feel the distinction between a tax...

I live in Sydney and I travel 60-90 minutes from work to home. It's really not that big a deal. There are alot of people who have to travel alot further. I just get a train. Sorry but I do not know how it works in Melbourne so I am really not much help.

accounting cadetships - good or bad?

Hours are not shit. You are not underpaid. Accounting is not easy/boring for everyone. I strongly suggest you work at your Maths because you need it! If you want to do a cadetship, then do it.

    Boring House Music clubs

I would of thought that House is the happening thing at the moment? Everyone is going to the 'house' clubs and events, stuff like Kink at the Arthouse. Like I would classify all the stuff you hear on the 'Ministry of Sound Annual' CD as remixed house.

M&A Boom: When will it end?

I hope it never does. It is always interesting to read about.

    Double degrees and accounting cadetships

I disagree. You will climb the ranks at twice the pace if you have done the cadetship. Especially from Consultant to Senior Manager. This thus = significantly higher remuneration.

    Drinking age on cruise islands

I am very aware of what Noumea is. And that does not change my opinion...you would be lucky to find clean water. Once you get there you will see what I mean. It is not the nicest city going around. As for the islands...no they are not big tourist destinations, there are no bars, and the...

    Ashes to Ashes

I know its the GABBA and I know its the first test, but i recommend you all get money on Shane Warne taking his 700th wicket in the second innings. It is paying $101, you are crazy to not take the bait.
