So who is going to Newcastle University next year (new and continuing students)?

I got to transfer into B of Arts - I want to do psychology though so i'll just do some of those subjects, and then transfer to psych next year. :D Congrats to everyone who got what they wanted!

Did you apply through UAC when you changed your courses, or were they internal transfers?

Do students who are re-enrolling, need to get a new id card

I've applied through UAC to change course from IT to Arts. Will I be getting a new student number and student card?

    Library Fines.

I don't know the exact deal with holding; i've never borrowed anything from the library. :p

    Library Fines.

I think it's suppose to be an incentive not to forget. :p And if you want to continually renew your load, I gather this is where the hold thing that Jess was talking about comes into play. If someone else wants it too, then they'd be able to get it that way.

    Library Fines.

It's a good incentive to get you to return the books. Other people need to borrow them too you know...

    racist attacks

After reading that article, I have just 1 question to ask. Does an increase in full fee paying students mean there are less uni positions available for local students paying by HECS?

    What cheeses me off Wednesday...

How much is the fine? I'm just going to take a guess, and say $25 would be fair. On a slightly related note, I saw the parking inspector writing someone a ticket as I was walking to the gym. Sucker... :p

    how is a degree spread

Depends on the course. If you do a normal load, you might be able to get all your classes in 3 days. If not, probably 4. I've had 4 day weekends both semesters so far! :D

    What cheeses me off Wednesday...

I'm not sure. It could be. This is year 9 or 10 commerce we're talking about here, so i'm trying to remember 4 or 5 years ago. :p

    What cheeses me off Wednesday...

Yep, they suck too. I also hate it when i'm sitting in a lecture and people come and sit right in front of me! Come on people, where am I suppose to rest my legs and feet now?! Go sit in one of the other 400 available seats. People who come into lectures 20 or 30 minutes late also...
