That is doable since ACST101 is a relatively easy subject (well its meant to be for acst students).

If its anything like last year you'll have to go to uni 1day for some orientation lecture and another day to enrol, unlike most other unis which allow you to enrol online. The green booklet should tell you when and where to go, i think its ordered by alphabetical order

Hey guys, i'm thinking of doing this unit but will only be able to attend 1 of the 3 lectures per week. So i was wondering if going to the tutes and practicals would be enough to get me through this. I havn't studied any programming prior to this. thx

Hey guys, well i managed to get through the semester unscaved (don't have to repeat anything :)) and was just wondering what happens now? When do we choose subjects for next year and make a timetable? And do we pick subjects for just the 1st semester or 1st and 2nd semester? Thanks

If you want to "try out" acst then i suggest you go to UNSW as they have much better options than Macq if you want to change degrees. As for recognition, if you get your part I and part II from university (very very hard to) it wont make any difference whether you studied at Mac or Unsw. Macq...

How you guys goin with this so far? Is there any other way apart from reading the elements notes to study that part of the exam? since the techniqes part is quite easy imo the only thing stopping me from getting a decent grade in this is this damn theory!!

Just a quick Q, is the exam all applied stuff like writing out entries and stuff or is there theory part in it as well like asking you for definitions and all? Also would anyone happen to have a past exam or are they collected?

She'll just put questions like the ones in the lecture notes eg you get given a set of transactions that have occured now record them in the general journal. So you write DR cash $$$ CR a/c rec $$$ and so on. But she won't have stuff like write up a subsidiary ledger for this...
