I have discovered a truely remarkable proof of the Riemann hypothesis which this post is to small to contain!!!

What subjects will you pick next year?

you have to have accelerated in some subject. They are 2 units each. They are through distance education. And they are most likely being canceled (... but the is always hope ;) p.s. love the sig :)

What subjects will you pick next year?

Why not try both and if you find you are doing to much work, then drop the one you dont like the most?

    A Subject Selection Predicament...

Have you considered doing Economics through distance ed? You would still be able to chemistry and economics. And if you enjoy economics as much as you said, then doing it through distance education shouldn't be hard.

    How hard are your exams?

Ours are super easy, but the scores are still spread quite evenly. But, for example, in 2 unit last exam 4 people came first (me and 3 others). 3 unit is fairly evenly spread.

    log and exponential questions

    a) 14 = 2 x 7 .:log714 = log72 + log77 = 0.36 + 1 = 1.36 b)log73.5 = log7(7/2) = log77 - log72 =1 - 0.36 = 0.64 3) all you have to do is divide each term by x, then integrate all the individual terms, the only term you would have a problem with is 3/x, and the integral, S, of (3/x) is the...

How are you enjoying year 10?

    agreed!

What subjects will you pick next year?

English extension 1 course is made up of certain topics, like i think there is one on crime fiction and literature whereas in English extension 2 the only thing you do is one large major project, like a short film or a short novel. Note that you must do extension 1 to do extension 2. Also...

How are you enjoying year 10?

Kinda neutral. I am kinda hating it. I mean, its so boring! In science today, we had to circle X and Y chromosomes in order to find which 2 remained! This took all lesson for my class! I am hating english :burn: Not doing year 10 maths either (thank god!), but i am loving my free periods!

    Fitzpatrick - Plane Geometry

\text{Connect the centres of the 6 circles. Furthermore, connect the centre of each of the 6 circles to the centre of the 7th circle.} \text{Note that there are 6 triangles, and furthermore, they are all isosceles.} \text{Consider the point of the triangle where it touches the 7th circles...

    Fitzpatrick - Plane Geometry

    $Let each circle have radius r$ $Join the centres of all the circles touching the frame$ \tan 60 = \frac{x}{r} \therefore x = \tan 60 \cdot r \tan 60 = \sqrt{3} \therefore x = r\sqrt{3} 4r + 2r + 2 \cdot r\sqrt{3} ie\,\,R = 6r + 2r\sqrt{3} r(6 + 2\sqrt{3}) = R \therefore r = \frac{R}{6...

    Circle Geometry xp

Let the circle on the left be circle A and the circle on the right be circle B. Furthermore, construct the common tangent and the direct common tangent. The 2 radii make right angles with the direct common tangent, also the other two radii make right angles with the common tangent. In circle...

    Circle Geometry xp

$Consider the fact that the line connecting two centres of a circle goes through the point of contact. If we join all three of the centres to form a triangle, we find an interesting fact: the sides of the triangle are 30, 40 and 50. This is a pythagoran triple, it means that this triangle is...

    Circle Geometry

For angle x, you must use the fact that the angle at the centre of a circle is twice the angle at the circumference. So the angle opposite x is 140, so the angle at the centre is 360 - 140 = 220. So 2x = 220, so x = 110 The angle sum of a quadrilateral is 360, so y + 140 + 110 + 62 = 360 y +...

If you are in year 11, read this first.

You should definitely do it! There are really two main reasons, firstly, you clearly are really good at maths, secondly, 4 unit will provide you more of a challenge, it will be more interesting. Also, a mark in the high 80s/ low 90s for extension 2 is like the equivalent of top 90s (like...
