    Question

Firstly: Steel is an iron alloy containing no more than 2% carbon. Adding chromium increases resistance to corrosion because chromium is one of those passivating metals producing the inert layer resistant to corrosion. Secondly: Molybdenum increases resistance to corrosion as well as strength...

Similar to metal displacement, Hydrogen will come out of solution while the metal will go into the solution (become an ion) I apologise it isnt really all that clear without the + or - to indicate ions.

I agree because then it gives my answer :p

    prob q hard!

    I got 4/7 but I dont know if this is right: Total number of ways the cards can be arranged: n = 7! = 5040 Ways in which first OR last are A: n = 2 x 3 x 4 x 5! = 2880 P(E) = 2880/5040 = 4/7

    dot point help 9.6.6.

    Theres two main reasons why Acidic environments accellerate corrosion: 1. Take a look at the Standard reduction potentials for Oxygen in acidic and neutral environments: 1/2 O2 + H2O + 2e -> 2OH 0.40 V 1/2 O2 + 2H + 2e -> H2O 1.23 V From the above results you see the standard potential...

    Explanation of UAI

The HSC mark reported on your results is not used in the calculation of your UAI, the raw marks are used and it is these marks that are scaled. Also Maths is out of 120 not 105 ;)

    structure of imaginative journey essay

I think either works, it's more personal preference and what is easier for you. I structure by texts which doesn't work too bad and my marks weren't any better when I atgtempted structuring by what the text is saying about the topic in question. So yeh, either way works fine just do what is...

    Circle Geometry

Thanks for that, I knew there was some reason why the sum of those two angles was 65.
  15. LostAuzzie

    Circle Geometry

The sum of the two angles is always the same because the third angle is always the same due to angles in same segment rule. I dont believe my explanation is an actual rule as at that pint I got stuch for an official rule explaining it but... As P moves closer to one of the points A or B the...

    Circle Geometry

Now Q2: Angle QCA = Angle CBA (Angle between tangent and chord) Angle RAC = Angle CBA (Similarly) Therefore Angle QCA = Angle RAC Angle QCA + Angle CAR + Angle ARQ + Angle RQC = 360 (Angle sum of quad) 2Angle CBA + 84 + 70 = 360 2Angle CBA = 206 Angle CBA = 103 Once Again please...

    Circle Geometry

Ill start with Q1 AT = TB (Tangents from a point) Therefore ATB is isosceles Angle TAB = Angle ABT (Base angles of isos triangle) Angle TAB + Angle ABT = 180 - 50 (Angle sum of triangle) = 130 Therefore Angle TAB = Angle ABT = 65 Now Angle PAB + Angle...
