Hmm... thats interesting. i have never heard of elective courses in aviation. I thought everything was be set out by the ICAO (or wuteva organistion) as to wut u needa do for flying licences. A helicopter licence sounds... well, abit useless if he wants to fly planes. :P O well, i'm not too sure...

Guaranteed a job at where? Most graduates in australia first start off in teeny weeny regional airlines which fly cargo (maybe people) over rural australia for a few years until they can move to "bigger" airlines like virgin blue, qantas etc ... and most probably based in town far from home...

Yea, apparently this course trains u up to meet the minimum requirements for a commercial pilot, but minimum requirements isn't what airlines want these days. Candidates often have way more hours than required (even up to 1000!), which makes the competition for employment extremely fierce...

For me, its cuz the teacher can't explain it good enough and so, in an indirect way, I have to learn the stuff by myself... which makes it hard.

You can always move back down, but u cant move up when its too late.

Only had H/Y for physics. Found it relatively easy, which is both good and bad. Good - high marks -> Increase self esteem, etc... Bad - everyone else finds it easy so its hard to widen the gap and get a good rank. :(

English may a really useless subject. But then again, how applicable is all that maths we're doing applicable to life?

Don't do bio, so physics. Its not an easy course, but it is quite interesting.

Hahahaha.... Kinda true, ask anyone who travels around frequently in a plane and I'm sure they'll tell you the hardest hours to burn is always the last few, but of course, not everyone hates flying. Haha

I do Jap through Open High. U need self discipline, but thats not a problem for me cuz its my fav subject.
