i didnt do it for my trial cos i go to nsb but i saw it and it was suprising compared to a few yrs back. i did enjoy the fibonacci sequence one which took some time (maybe 20 mins :S) and also the harder 3U problems... i guess if i was doing it i would aim to get 100+/120 but i really should...

for ext 2 the median across the state is 50% so you will probably want 75%+ for a band 6 as a rough guess... essentially you should finish Q1-4 in about an hour (maybe a little more) because of the exams i have done for practice the last 4 Qs take almost twice as long due to mainly harder 3U...

ok fine... but most 4U textbook arent good for explanation, that's what teachers are for... the Qs in patel(not excel) are good and they really distignuish the averge 4U students from the really dedicated and 'leet' ones

the best way is to practice trials and test papers in test conditions over and over again. in maths (particularly hsc 3U) it is about practice and practice and... and practice.. well you get the point.

meh... got it with school. happy cos its probably the best overall textbook but it makes use of paper by useless explanations of chem stuff not in the syllabus.

just do exam style Qs... note that some of patel's stuff can be tested but for some sick complex, mechanics, polys and conics revision go for it... i used it instead of cambrigde for school and terry lee's answers aren;t all correct... what ever J-

obviously it depends on your school and your current assessment mark that was sent in but ideally i've heard that you need 92-93 raw mark if you are ignoring the assessment marks... for me (before our school trials) i'm coming first out of 17 people and i think i will get say 97/98 as a mark for...

oh if you guys have any money left go find dot point - pdhpe. its got so many qs from practising for the trials and hsc... i got it last wk and its takes quite a while to get thru. bit expensive. $45 but its got at least 300 Qs and suggested answers if you're stuck.

hey i got stuck with a bio teacher for chem cos i did pd as well. o also the best maths teacher which i had in yr 10/11 had his class in my pd line...what gives?? oh well... hsc almost here...

u should have 3 texts. i am doing A&C so i have a poem and a film. then i have 2 concepts. they i have 4 body paragraphs where i link my set text (A&C) with each of my supplementary texts. they you link parapgraphs to each other as well as concepts to each other. its just one massive linking...
