a square with my left hand and a circle with my right hand....gimmie a second here....
hmmmm, I think I can do it...my left hand is a little bit messy though :p and I never could draw a circle....
The stage we used for the trials had a hollow floor and hence all of my stomping during my...
ha, I like to refer to myself nowdays as a "percussionist". :p
I've never seen a harpsichord played as passionately as a piano ;) I also don't consider the cowbell as an instrument that conveys a depth of passion.....although I have had a few inspired moments playing the cowbell myself:)...
there is a guy in my year at school who is 19, soon to be 20 years old. For whatever reason he took a year off school a while ago and has been moving between different countries etc. etc. I think he completed year 11 in another country but had to start again once he got to Australia.....i...
some GPS schools used to make rugby compulsory but none of them do this anymore. Maybe High should focus on the fact that their 1st soccer team has been kicking arse!
I don't see how forcing everyone to play rugby, or any single sport for that matter was ever considered a good idea.
I got the impression from my school that they were attempting to make the trials be as much like the HSC will be as possible - so, I reckon the actual HSC will be pretty much the same
hmmm, we got a guy like that at out school as well. Won the entire national shakespeare competition and when to london, representing all of australia. Also so happends he tops our music and visual arts classes and english.......
...talented people hmph :p
I know a few people that do theatre review and video, and lots of performers of course. I was gunna to theatre review but I dropped drama at the end of term 1. Not cause I didn't enjoy it but because I had too many other long term projects to do. That said its been fun watching all the groups...
hmmm, to have a good punk band you need a shit hot drummer.
Thats it really...Blink 182 have some catchy melodies and a kick-arse drummer, and you don't need more than that for punk nowdays.
Yeah, music in general is dead...only if you don't bother looking for it!! Damn, there are so...
lol - seriously, I don't do King Lear either - but I reckon I could still have a fair go answering that question. Who says the director in my imagined production had to bother reading the script??? :D
geez, it just so happends that this issue isn't some revelation. I've been in a GPS school for 6 years now and I know that this stuff happens and I also have found that no one is ever admitting to it. Sometimes you just wonder exactly how certain people have gotten"academic scholarships"...
when taking all this stuff into account does everyone now think it was a bad idea to stop ranking the school like they used to?
So, I'm thinkin' you could say that the HSC used to be a scoreboard until people felt that that sort of thing shouldn't be compared on a scoreboard....
yeah weisy, you're right. I was just using the word passion in an all-inclusive sort of way. In that, being a passionate instrument, it is able to communicate anger, serenity, nostagia etc. much better than, well, lets say, the harpsichord...;)
well to be honest the teachers at my school warned us against writing a fantasy piece. Mainly because it can easily become cliched.
but if you really wanted to do it I'd think you just do some research into other fantasy novels, writers etc.
yeah, if its a big problem just go start talking to other english teachers about your work instead of him. If the relationship between you two is how you describe it I don't think your current mentor would loose too much sleep over it.
Geez, calm down everyone. Just because your mentors have red all over your writing doesn't mean they hate your writing -- it probably means that they are trying really hard to help make it better. Do you think that at the age of 17-18 that your writing is flawless. I mean if he looked at it...
I think I read somewhere on the BoardOS site that you could submit a cd this year. My radio drama is on a cd at the moment but I'm thinking I might hand in a copy on both cd and tape - just to be sure about everything.
hmmm, my birthday is 3 weeks after my last exam. God, I'm sure those weeks will seem like forever -- waiting for my 18th, waiting for my HSC results, uai.....just ya know generally twidleing my thumbs in anticipation....
----oh, I wish I could skip to the twidleing thumbs stage in my life...
yeah do what Mistress says.
make an acronym for it or something maybe:
TCCQSP - then I'd say it like T double C Q S P and just remeber the rhythm...
DA dadada DA da DA
hmmm, or you might even have a better way :p
