Transfer all your completed units over --> internal transfers (or transfers to a course at the same uni) will retain the marks from your units If you transfer to another university they will give you credit, but you won't retain the marks When you transfer you also get to decide which units to...

    Bachelor of Physiotherapy

Yeah, lol That's 100% true too Like, it is ~weird~ to have an ATAR over the cutoff at UWS (except med) If you do, you often get a scholarship or something

    Maths (Stats/data science/analytics) vs Medicine

i enjoyed sciences during high school, but honestly if I went to a school that taught humanities better I could see myself doing that instead and then doing med. I'm much more interested in the psychosocial side of medicine, even though I started wanting to be a reconstructive surgeon. The...

    Bachelor of Physiotherapy

there is not a similar thing and I doubt there ever will be UNSW started that iirc and USyd followed to try and be more "transparent" about their cutoffs Some UWS courses would have admissions >20 points below cutoff. So they don't want to advertise that. Although, stats released by UAC/SMH (I...

    Help! Life-changing university decision...

yeah, only old people and people studying med care that you're a doctor Or like If someone is dying on a plane So like In 10 years time only people on planes will like you. !!!! Will also mean that the academics at uni give you more opportunities for resume-boosting/research/extra learning.

    Maths (Stats/data science/analytics) vs Medicine

yeah Fuck OP would end up killing himself ftfy If you were to be a surgeon you would give up 99% of your life. ~90% for a specialist physician. !!! People don't get into training programs or into staff specialist jobs like they used to. To be a surgeon it's something like an average of 10...

Why are people choosing to pursue a career in medicine?

if your heart is not in it PLEASE DONT DO IT Like It is honestly one of the most taxing things you can do; physically and mentally/emotionally I know so many people across the country either studying med now or recently graduated that have had their lives completely destroyed by doctors and the...

What is the course cutoff? What is your GPA? (This is listed in MySR plainly for you to see) Did you fail any subjects? Answer those questions and we can help properly.

    AAA AWARD at UNSW

ATARs are not public knowledge; only UAC and the individual are meant to know them. So, I'm assuming UNSW elected for UAC to tell them of the highest ATAR student at schools that had preferenced them; not actually given them a list of everyone's ATARs. So it's quite possible someone who...

    Bachelor of Physiotherapy

UWS hyper-inflate their ATAR requirements (except med which is pre-determined, before demand) If you get 94 you should be fine. You can also try for Physio at USyd Cumbo.

    MATH1013 vs MATH1005

Did you do biostats at some point? (I think it's 1015?) If so, don't do stats. I don't think you can count both to the degree. It might be better for you to do 1013 now and biostatistics in Sem 1 2017

Can a non-high ranked high school student get a high ATAR?

I'm pretty sure the dude who tops my year of med got 99.25 at a 500+ school. His twin brother came 3rd or 4th with ~96 and now does med at USyd. So, it's possible.
