    English Extension II... 2007

There are 7 in my school doing EE2. Five of them are doing short story lol.

How many assignments do you have?

Including all assessments for the last week of school this year = 7 (3 of those are assignments.) 2x Eng Advanced English Ext 1 Chemisty Physics 2x Music 7 over 4 days... :( better get started then.

    Eng 4uers 2007

*sings* I should have started... doo doo dum [/song] I'm as far as having definitively decided which text type mine's going to be. Big step... other people in my class have whole ideas planned out, have done research, and have even written stuff. Not me i'm afraid. Still lacking in the ideas...

If you are in year 11, read this first.

Okay, that's what I would have thought too (had I not listened to one of the greatest bull-talkers of the century lol). Thanks.

    Polylactic Acid (PLA) Bioploymer

Okay, my apologies. I have no information further than basic sources.

Hmmmmmm... that's what I was thinking about doing... So much for originality on my behalf.

    Work Experience

... Anyway, back on topic... lol My work experience last year was really good. We did it in term 2. I went to CSIRO Industial Physics and saw 4 different projects there. Unfortunately, it's classified information. I wish I remembered more about them, because it would've been great for physics...

    Polylactic Acid (PLA) Bioploymer

*cough* sounds like doing an assignment *cough* The info on wikipedia's decent. Pretty much everything you need is right there. Extra Google-ing won't be harmful either... ;P Sorry, but it's really easy to find. Should honestly only take about 10 minutes to get this info. I can give you...

    need idea (moderate ranting)

Thanks Kabbasi, glitterfairy and case88. I'll certainly take your ideas to find an idea into consideration. ^^ Guess I'll see what i come up with.

If you are in year 11, read this first.

I've heard about 1000 times (from 2 sources only) that if you get 80% for 4u maths it gives you an automatic 100% for 2unit... Is that right or plain bull....? People think I should be doing 4u since I'm in top 5 for 3u at school... but I'd rather have my 2u marks counted for UAI than some...

    need idea (moderate ranting)

How do people just come up with ideas for their major works? My teacher thinks that a critical response would be the best option for me, but I am yet to think of anything that sounds even remotely like the beginning of a thought process that could lead to an idea. The rest of my class - "I'm...

Oh "shit" .. Silver Nitrate :(

Hmm yeah silver nitrate stains are annoying. The two prelim chem classes at my school did a prac test to test metal reactivity and one of the salts was silver nitrate. Amusingly, no one in my class ended up stained, in comparison to the other class with a majority of casualties. =D Normally...

    projectile motion

Okay, sorry I did something stupid. :/ I've edited it in in the above post.

    projectile motion

I'm not sure I get the reasoning behind this... The r=15.56 was for horizontal displacement, so shouldn't be involved in the vertical component... EDIT: For vertical velocity, using v=u+at where v=? u=12sin30=6 a=-9.8 (its the NEGATIVE direction still) t=1.497 So v=6+(-9.8)x1.497=-8.6717m/s...

calculus to prove angle of maximum range (projectile)

Hmm yeah messy though (IMO anyway). I dunno, guess I'm just weird. Thanks anyway.

calculus to prove angle of maximum range (projectile)

Uhm... differentiate wwith respect to theta? How does that work? Theoretically it sounds ok, but the fact that it's an angle kinda throws me (no projectile pun intended). Is it something like dy/d@ of sin@ = -cos@ ? If so, I don't know how to use it past there, and if not, then I don't have a...

soooooo not ready to start year 12

Lol, I still have english hw from 2 weeks ago, plus everything we've been given since then. There must be a dot point in the English Avanced syllabus saying - Student Outcomes: Students learn to despise the subject as required in previous English courses. Copious amounts of homework is to be...

calculus to prove angle of maximum range (projectile)

I attempted that for a while, but when I reached the part with sin(2 theta) my proof was too messy. I had to use the sine graph to show that sin 90 is max. Not the kind of proof I like, although of course I'm sure there's a way to do it nicely. Grr I'm too stupid to be doing physics >.< Thanks...

    Centripetal Force

Oh yeah, I see what you mean... whoops :( That "one respect" was pretty much the only respect that mattered, so entirely incorrect. Don't listen to me, I'm a n00b.

    Centripetal Force

A very quick explanation of why centripetal acceleration is towards the centre is to look at the vector diagram. Draw a circle, and mark two points on the circumference (deciding one to be initial and one to be final). Draw the velocity vectors at these two points (as tangents to the circle at...
