just use footnotes to explain the pt, or if its a long explanation eg: a definition or an elaborate example, then in your footnote state the page of the section in the appendix

every assignment/report u can think of can have appendix and footnotes.......... if ur out of space.. instead of putting things in brackets, use footnotes, instead of having a graph or a table in the body or ur assingment, have it in the appendix...
