I know a lot of series with twenty-four episodes. Twenty-two seems to be quite common too. I wonder why season one had twenty-seven episodes? It is very uncommon for a show to have so many episodes:).

Do you think they would make enough money back for them if they are making a loss each episode though:)? Well I believe that the show has sustained its high ratings for the fourteen episodes that have been aired so far, so I see no reason why ABC would not already be charging higher prices...

Companies pay the television station to have their advertisements shown but if they are not paying enough then the show will obviously be making a loss. I doubt the show would be making a loss on every episode:).
