2007 Federal Election - Coalition or Labor/Howard or Rudd?

Labor widens lead in latest poll Edit: But Christopher Pyne isn't worried. Not at all!

    Semester 2 Chatter Thread (2007)

Re: Semester II Chatter Thread! It's getting there slowly. I'm done for tonight, but hopefully I can finish it tomorrow and start my GOVT essay on Monday. The question: 'Were early policies of Aboriginal child removal in Australia motivated by social concerns about childhood or specifically...

    2008 U.S. Election

Next year's presidential election is shaping up to be massively awesome. Thoughts or favourite candidates, anyone? I'm personally hoping the Dems nominate Hillary Clinton and the Republicans John McCain. I'd prefer Hillary to win, but I'd be reasonably sort of OK with McCain, my main problems...

Re: Semester II Chatter Thread! Have fun with that. Does anyone want to do my history essay for me? I'm making zero progress at the moment.

Re: Semester II Chatter Thread! What exactly does the 'Subject Area' option do? I would've thought it had something to do with cross-listing, but it doesn't list Ancient History as an option for HSTY units.

NRSL = non-recent school leaver rank. It's a UAI-like thing out of 100 which represents a combination of your UAI and your tertiary grades.

Re: Semester II Chatter Thread! Does anyone know what the function in the Great Hall last night was? There were heaps of semi-formally dressed people milling about everywhere.

    Semester 2 Chatter Thread (2007)

Re: Semester II Chatter Thread! Wow, go stas. (Was that the commbank internship you were talking about on Commerce/Business?) A Lynx marketing competition? I thought their marketing strategy was basically 'show half-naked women, then show the product'.

    Semester 2 Chatter Thread (2007)

Re: Semester II Chatter Thread! I think it's just that the timetable is altered. There are still trains stopping there. (It would suck hard if you lived in Toongabbie or Wentworthville though, there are no morning trains stopping there until 9am.)

    Semester 2 Chatter Thread (2007)

Re: Semester II Chatter Thread! The BM line is actually hit worse than the western. Western just runs on a slightly different timetable and skips the stations between Blacktown and Westmead. Blue Mountains off-peaks (ie. the ones I take, mostly) are completely cancelled between Central and...

    Semester 2 Chatter Thread (2007)

Re: Semester II Chatter Thread! Incidentally, if anyone takes the Western or Blue Mountains lines to uni, there's significant trackwork on next week and the week after, so you might want to get a brochure from a station or have a look on the CityRail website. I'm going to have to take shitty...

2007 Federal Election - Coalition or Labor/Howard or Rudd?

But they aren't, realistically, ever going to get anywhere near the primary required to win in a safe Liberal seat. So why bother? The reason that they target Labor seats - a specific type of inner-city Labor seat, which tilt significantly to the left - is because in these seats they can (at...

Combined law courses all have the same course code?

They generally advise that you need a UAI of 96 and a Distinction average in your first year of uni to transfer into Sydney law. It's possible to get in with a somewhat lower UAI, but you'd need even better uni marks to make up for it. The exact marks needed vary a bit from year to year, though...
