connie, you have to use the formula. i'm not sure which one, but do not do it manually. you will be much better off leaving it if you cant apply the formula and focusing on the rest of the paper.
somethings may not be in the syllabus...
work from 95-76. so you cover the most recent content first.
but unlike other syllabi, maths hardly changes, but there may be some questions.
get your teacher to go through the papers and cross out the ones that dont apply.
hmm....hsc isnt the biggest, most difficult part of our lives.
there will be much harder thigns in our lives to come. :)
so put things into perspective and enjoy this time if possible; reward yourself for studying and try to get involved in your studies :)
iambored, dont do it! i doubt you will get marks for the working. marks are often assiciated with some trick with inequalities(multiply by the square of the denominator).
my approach....
1/x >= 1/(x+1)
multiply each side by x^2 and (x+1)^2
x.(x+1)^2 >= x^2.(x+1)
...
x(x+1) >= 0
then solve by graphing.
you can treat these as two different finction to make it easier to understand.
y=x(x+1) and g=0
now graph where 'y is greater than or equal to...
what different things are people making notes on?

there are more...i just cant think of any.
dont let ur 'un-mathsness' hold you back from doing physics. i would say there was more/harder maths in yr 11, with the elastic/non-elastic collisions and tension.
the hsc course has hardly any maths.
i think you just need to know the "branching off" of variables
the verb says classify, so that must be it.
use the little diagram on page 326 of the jacarnada text. and just know brief meanings of the main parts; non-periodic, intrinsic, etc.
did we :eek:
*goes off to do a search*
hahah come to think of it....i think i actaully posted in that thread....dont i look like the forum idiot :(
edit: yes it was done before. http://www.boredofstudies.org/community/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11513 here for anyone wanting linkage
lol....i like being organised, but my lazyness seems to over-run that...
hmm...one pile to my righta bout 30 cm high = english adv, religion, ext eng.
another pile under my bed (for those sticky situations;))= all subjects.
small pile on desk = physics
another pile on computer...
