its taken as assumed knowledge and is supposed to make the hsc content easier, in theory.:) in practice, it doesnt really matter. you can go well in the hsc course without any knowledge from the prelim year i think.

i for one am pretty confident in physics for some bizzare reason. i'm hoping/looking at 90+. mainly because i enjoy it.

but will the hsc markers accept it? what if you can provide enough evidence...

Physics; the best books would be a combination of jacaranda, excel and another 'textbook'(to make sure a certain problem/query). the greatest help are past papers, as mentioned success one is one of the best, but many papers can be obtained. obviously a strong collection of notes/summaries...

whoa!! amazing marks.:) your looking at 98+ there. as for english, my advice would be to get plenty of past papers and write the essays/responses and get your teacher to mark them. use time constraints and practice as often as you can.

arguing with others is the best way to learn about something or show you know something:p but seriously, for this you just need to know what they want us to know. ie- that M-M tried to prove that ether did exist, but the 'null' result suggested, if not proved that the aether did not exist...
