Not sure if I should do both modern and ancient history

Which it really isnt. Its quite difficult in that, unlike in modern, you have to grasp difference social structures and practises that are SO removed from our own.

how much money have you spent on study guides, tutoring, study camps etc.?

I've said this before, but, I've always seen tutoring as something for people who are struggling. I'm not, so I never bothered with it.

Re: 回复: Re: how much money have you spent on study guides, tutoring, study camps etc.? 0$ My school gave me a 1000$ scholarship to pay for school books, fees, excursions, uniforms, study guides, etc. So, I've milked that dry. I think the only school related thing Ive paid for is my noddles...

    Yr 11 performance

Never to early to dominate Namu. You remind me of me in year 11, and as long as you keep your drive, you should be able to hold first. It get alot harder in year 12, but the competition often just makes you perfom even better. Congrats!

It was really fucking early, but all four of us in my class had 3 MW's, SO we reallllllly wanted it out of the way. I always knew my general area so the hardest part was refinement. EDIT: Ok so I checked my calender and it was due the second monday of June. Still early though. I could have...

Vietnam & Theories of Social Change

All three theories fit. The conflict theory particularly because of Vietnams history of oppression and nationalistic tendancies that led to conflicts with / against the opressors to create social change.

SOFT subjects (the easy way out) . Your thoughts?

It's true. Maths General is softer than Advanced. Etc, etc. However; There should be nothing wrong with people taking them if thats the level they're willing to work at. I took advanced for a year and thought it was a crock of shit. I wasn't doing badly, but I wasn't excelling, and I like to...

    Historiography Quotes

I think the fundamental problem with believing we can come to the 'truth' about history is that through our own interpretation, regardless of whether we want to or not, we add our own layer of meaning and thus rid any chance of deciphering 'truth' from a source. And, then you have to consider...

    Does anyone else suffer this?

If you're not willing to get your head around some sociological concepts and really remember them, it can be quite difficult to display depth in your responses. You have to be open to other interpretations and articulate your own. Theres a fair amount of content but if you work hard, its...

Not sure if I should do both modern and ancient history

They're both brilliant subjects and I personally couldn't choose. Yes, its alot of content, but at the end of the day your exams will focus on narrow areas. Your core's are source based and it makes it much easier. I reccomend it. And then History Ex. in year 12. DOIT Need moar 5 unit...

    anyone burnt out?

I'm a perfectionist, not so much affraid of failure as of not being the best. I have to be first in everything. Knowing that my ranking hangs on this - no more assessments in most subjects - sucks.

    Telling The Truth Related..

You don't have to be catholic to teacher at a Catholic school, you just have to be respectful and uphold and exemplify the values the school wants to instill in the students (which are of course catholic and it makes sense to BE Catholic to do that). Just sayin'. She/He probably meant in...
