    of course when you get to the hsc and you paper is marked and you results aligned and whatever it changes, but in terms of assessments to see how youre going, thats the quickest way to get an idea.

    also, considering you arent already doing ex eng1, and arent doing a history or language, im fairly sure there isnt another extension/1 unit class you can take. dont take that as gospel though, i could be wrong

    why would you not be able to take up 4unit maths? personal ability/concerns about ability, or lack of teacher for the course, etc? i know a girl doing 3unit maths, she finds having the extra unit ontop of the 10 enjoyable.

    err, you can work out the percentage, and surely you know the bands structure. and with raw marks like you assessment marks, cut offs shouldnt be a worry.

    if everyone does really poorly, it generally means 1 or 2 things bad "hard" paper or low level cohort the former is generally the case
