wat is 'special consideration'? shouldn't you talk to your teacher/school to get compensation? btw the problem sounds minor, this shit happens all the time e.g. when you put ur hand up for an extra writing booklet and the examiner doesn't see you for 2-3 minutes...

43/90 was the highest mark. Class average was 17/90.

I did study. 1.5hrs a night for 3 weeks leading up to the half-yearlies. All I can say was that the test was really hard. True. I believe that they didn't study though.

Wrong. The rankings do matter, but gap in marks matters too. E.g. If you come third in a class of twenty and the top two marks were 50 higher than yours it would hurt your moderted mark as opposed coming third by 1 or 2 marks.
