We're doing 'Gothic' and currently reading Frankenstein...quite uneventful. I always thought it was meant to be really good and really scary but it really isn't...I think we're doing fairytales next term...

Last year I posted a thread about how crap I thought the School Cert english exam was and the Sydney Morning Hearld did an article on the exams, interviewing a couple of students who found the test fair and reletivly easy, etc. They then quoted my post on BoS as one of the 'other students'...

yeh, I go to a selective school in Newcastle and we only offer Advanced...but most people don't mind. We don't offer general maths either :(

I think it's still important to have a SC...though i think it should all be skills based (like ELLA and SNAP) rather than an exam you need to study for... Away, good luck everyone!!!
