The only official pre-requisite for medicine (at least at UNSW) is english....that's it, so it doens't matter what else you do as long as you get the marks. That said, the science courses would help I guess.....but hey! I'm doing med and I didn't do chemistry, and i really could not be bothered...

You probably already know this, but remember that the selection process is threefold - UMAT, your interview and your UAI so you don't necessarily hafta have a kickarse UAI (>99.5 or watever) if you can excel in the other two sections :)
