Ozko: Oh right I get it, I thought you just randomly chose them for fun and you didn't have to do any other units in that subjects. Thanks for your help!
Passionxmusic: That would be amazing! Thank you! :)
passionxmusic: I was looking at some threads on sociology and some people were saying that it's the most awful subject ever and some have said it's great. I don't really know what sociology is but I decided to put it down anyway.
Oh wow thank you! That's really helpful!
So then where do electives come in? I noticed for example when I was looking at the History link that there are junior units, senior units and then electives. When do you choose electives?
So I'm on the enrolment planner for B Arts and I'm kind of confused.
I get to choose 4 courses (Govt + International Relations, History, English and Sociology) and I also get to choose the things I want to study within them.
Except that there are all these electives that the site shows...
hahaha well I'm not set on law at usyd or law anywhere. I'm just thinking it would be really useful and plus it interests me. The main career path I want to take is getting into media something whether it be journalism or news reporting or working for a magazine etc.
So I'm thinking I could...
Oh that makes me feel a bit better. I'm guessing though my chances will be slim.
What do you recommend I should do then? I can pretty much for sure get into Arts/Law at ACU (the atar is like 75 or 65 or something) but I don't really want to go there. I've also applied for B International...
My plan is to do B Arts and then hopefully (hopefully) be able to transfer into B Arts/Law
My ATAR however was 93.7 and I've heard that you really only will be considered if your ATAR was 97 or above. I'm hoping to get Distinctions or High Distinctions throughout my first year. Hypothetically...
So for enrolment day it says we have to pick the units of study that we want to do but I'm not actually sure what I'm supposed to be picking.
I'm doing a B Arts btw
So for example, on the Arts degree webpage it lists all the majors and I don't know if I'm supposed to pick 1 major or 2...
I got 93.7 for my ATAR and the cut off for International and Global Studies is 95.05 (for 2013)
I noticed that USYD has flexible entry but I don't know if you had to apply for that earlier or if they just automatically add on the bonus points?
So I'm not sure if I'll get into it or not...
ok another question, flexible entry works for me if I'm 5 points under the ATAR.
The ATAR for international and global studies is 95.05 and I got 93.7.
Do I fall under the 5 points? or is the 5 points actually in the decimal places? (if you get me?)
i know i've done this already in a different thread or whatever but i'd just like one more opinion..
