Merit goods- they're just goods that aren't produced in sufficient quantity by the private sectoras us individuals dont place enough value on them. eg. museums, public parks
Public goods- they're goods that the private sector dont supply at all as they cant say who is able or not able to use...

Hey, just noticed a misplacement. Im sure that 'Better education and training, leading to better employees' is part of external economies of scale as it is the government who funds education and yeh. Apart from that everything else seems to be spot on. A job well done!:)
Hmmmm. I guess for me, seeing other people motivated kind of motivates me in a way, not really sure why though maybe because it means that ill have to try harder to keep up.
lol. Im feeling the exact opposite to what you're feeling. I *$%#@^ hate chemistry and everytime i am in that class i feel like cutting myself (yes im exagerrating). I had a chance to change to Modern Hist. , but didnt and really regret that choice. My friend did and never looked back.
Hey,
My suggestion is just to drop the subject you enjoy the least especially since your marks are both similar.
In terms of scaling, im pretty sure that modern scales better than french beginners.
Hope my input helps
