To put things in perspective. My goal HSC mark for Ext 2 was 85, and I thought this exam was much harder than previous years. Hopeful of around 52-53 raw, what do people think that will align to?
yeah like I said D is most likely going to be the accepted answer but they have accepted 2 answers in MC in the past so who knows. Anyhow 19/20 will do me fine.
I agree with all except for question 7. I put C - meditation as an alternative health service. D will most likely be the accepted answer but in many textbooks meditation is listed as an alternative service so I know a lot of people put C as well
I don't see why they would accept different answers when its a friggen syllabus point, its not like its some obscure concept they drew from thin air. I guess its me being a little bit biased and not wanting them to seeing as I wrote about the right stuff haha
Ok, well when we say "Raw" yes we mean the raw mark /100 in the HSC exam itself. There is a raw mark 'cut-off' for a band 6 determined each year. Just because someone gets above this in the exam doesn't necessarily mean they will get a band 6 as a HSC mark, as their internal mark and ranking may...
That's fine and will certainly get you the marks, but people who only mentioned initial planning considerations and did them well would have done enough to get 8/8
Given the general consensus is that this was a harder exam than previous years, what do you guys think will be the Band 6 Cut off? and the raw for a State Rank?
I'm gonna say 83 raw for Band 6, and 95 raw for a State Rank.
I thought was a fair exam overall. Yeah the short answers were pretty specific but nothing too hard if you had done a bit of revision. Multiple choice had a few toughies but
Everyones saying it was a harder exam than previous years, I disagree personally but so many people are saying it... So in that case, probably 83-84 raw mark will align to 90
