My brother would be an example of the first category. He hated the academic side of school and did nothing the whole time (ATAR 59.6), but he did manage to do Ds/HDs in his last year and a half of uni because I think he actually did some work. But also cause he could just do his computer stuff...
I got my P's right when I turned 17. I used them everyday(drove to school everyday) and a stackload up until the time I moved up to Sydney. Since then, I don't drive in Syd (dat cost to have car when I live so centrally) but whenever I'm home I drive everyday or road tripping I will share...
Depends on natural ability, but also it takes slightly longer if you are driving manual imho because you have more things to take care of RE: vehicle control.
I think with your attitude you will perform well. Especially how you have goals, so many people hopelessly float in university even if they were quite organised at school in first semester.
As a prior country student, I do sympathise that it is harder to know where you stack up because you don't physically see the other schools and cohort performance (and often smaller so less people to compare with) can fluctuate wildly each year. Also, you have to be very rigorous that you are...
1) Most tutors won't mind, but if you by chance do have one that cares/find being on time to tutorials better, just leave you lecture 5 mins early, but you do get 10 minutes in between naturally as they finish 5 before hour and start 5 after hour.
2) On your tutorials, does your timetable say...
I know this will sound like a weird way to explain, but many people who write a b6 essay don't do it off the cuff (unless they are a top 5% english student).
Most students typically start off with a b4/b5 essay and you slowly work essays up to b6 level, by consistently re-drafting and taking...
What an impressive list so far :) Nice to see a Murakami fan, need to read A Clockwork Orange and a Handmaiden's Tale, how were they?
Unfortunately I don't read much sci-fi to suggest!
2xtoasted cheese, ham and tomato sandwiches
1xginger snap biscuit
1xshortbread cream biscuit
1xspinach and feta pide
1xregular chips
2xminties
Too much teaaaa
I was on the move all day today so just lots of snacks!
I think it's pretty natural to question yourself at such a doors sliding type of moment. I certainly did.
The thing is, if it's what you have wanted to do so long, you will likely like it. And if not, most people don't know what really ticks until they get into uni, in which they can change...
Most undergraduate scholarships for first year closed in Oct/Nov (unless it's auto award).
You should look to current student scholarships being open or look to aiming to winning uni prizes on first year results.
Sometimes external organisations offer scholarships to uni students, sometimes...
Re: Official Crash Bandicoot thread.
I loved playing Crash on the ole PS/PS2 in da day *dat nostalgia*
Getting the Aku Aku made you feel invicible <3 Also massive love of the level in the ice where crash rides a polar bear. (Maybe in Wrath of Cortex but so long ago!)

Dudes, if I was in yr 11/12, I would so be going to this (y) Definitely worth the trip for the advice!
Finished 'The Rosie Project' by Graeme Simpson . Now I have started 'Looking for Alaska' by John Green, early in but so far has not hooked me the same way TFIOS did.
