yeah.. *raises hand*
hate to be a whinger, but im fucking over it!
:p
it would be great if they could fix it, but like someone's already said,
it's not their fault, it's all us HSC students :D
i didn't want it to be about a celebration!
mine's horribly depressing!
so i had to change it..
left it ambiguous though, thought i went pretty well :]
you're supposed to (as a general guide) focus as much on your related text (note the absence of a plural) as your prescribed. to have an even distribution of analysis...
ha! thought i was alone :P
teacher: "there was 'the fiftieth gate' and a few others, which clearly defined the concepts of H&M, very straightforward kind of texts for this topic... for YOU, however, i have chosen the hard text- the woman warrior"
grr.
for one, you can tell me the stimulus quotes from the creative? :D
not meant to, but the supervisors can't do a lot..
but once they say pens down, im pretty sure they (essentially) have permission to tear papers up if they see a pen in someone's hands..
though they did give us time to ensure...
arrgh i hate time management :P
i spent -just- over the 40 min mark on comp;
close to an hour on my creative :(
annnd less time than i wish i had on my essay. twas nice of them to cut out the need for one of my related's, though :]
gave me a bit more time..
one kid in my year (adv.) got...
yup, pretty much.
all of the supervisors in my exam were like parents and people from our P&C..
tried to ask a question to one and got him all worried,
he had to run up the front and make sure he was allowed to tell me anything..
it wasn't major, but still. made me laugh. :]
we were told not to, but a few people did.
they give our teachers the booklets after an hour has passed..
that's what my teacher said...
which i think is good. i can see her sitting there heaving a sigh of relief that a few of us might pass :]
i kinda wanted to take one though...
few years back, could've been last year :S
they asked for an essay "...with specific reference to MLK's 'i have a dream' speech"
(well it was either that or Abraham Lincoln's 'gov't of the people, by the people for the people')
so they CAN specify for us to do a certain speech,
but i can...
just read the question!
i think it's pretty simple: you answer the question-- following ALL aspects and requirements of it,
and you get the marks.
the question said "using one prescribed text and ONE other text of your choosing"
or something very close to that.
they even capitalised it for...
yeahhh, never titled a creative in my life, and i've always done really well..
though i agree with the possibility of it all being a conspiracy..
knowing my teacher, it's a definite possibility :P
annnnnnd burning our papers?
i don't remember signing anything like that..
hmm. what did it look like?
right, so when you're referring to texts,
is it taboo to abbreviate the title of the text in that way *points down at example*
to shorten it for future reference?
eg:
bla bla... the text "As You Like It" (AYLI) written by...
is it ok to use this abbreviation? i have a vague...
